Ariana dashed out of the house in a bid to get to the Twiggy's cafe on time.she was trying to avoid her step mother's tantrums. Leah, Ariana's step mother has always been a thorn in the flesh, she pretends to be nice to her  in the presence of her dad and then shows her true colours  in his absence.

she has twin daughters who were 10 years old and now she's two months pregnant,. Her dad Mr. Reed Morgan got married to her after the demise of her mum when she was just ten, since then Leah has been trying everything in her power to make her dad hate her, but the love  and affection  her dad has towards her was over board, not until Leah got pregnant with  the heir of the Morgan's. Mr. Morgan now believes and supports her in whatever allegation levelled up against her by Leah. she tried using her pregnancy to create a rift between father and daughter and her plans seems to be working of recent because Mr. Morgan no longer love nor treat her as he used to before.

Her father's love towards her was unconditional, even after her mother's death he still cherished her but all these changed after he got married to Leah who never treated her fairly, she only pretends to be nice and Ariana is fully aware of her evil schemes to make her father hate her, the situation became worse when Leah got pregnant, the sonogram reports revealed that it was a male child and that made Mr. Morgan  very happy, he wanted an heir for his family and Leah was about to make his dreams come true so he now pampers and treats her like a queen because of her pregnancy.

Ariana walked in quickly into the Twiggy's cafe a coffee shop where she works  as a waitress. The building was firm and magnificent with the name TWIGGY'S CAFE boldly written on it. it was one of the biggest coffee shop in the whole of San Francisco, the interiors were decorated with paintings and drawings designed by well known artists. the comfort and satisfaction that Twiggy's cafe renders attracts  more customers to it . it had ten chairs and tables arranged at each side of the shop, leaving an aisle to the counter, a kitchen which was behind the counter and a narrow passway leading to miss Daisy's office the owner of the Twiggy's cafe.

Ariana quickly took up a clean towel and started cleaning and arranging the chairs and tables " good morning miss Daisy" Ariana greeted as Daisy walked out of her office.

" going morning Ariana! what of Valerie?" miss Daisy asked with hands akimbo

" she........." good morning all" Valerie greeted as she turned the open and close card to open before shutting the glass door, interrupting the answer Ariana was about to give miss Daisy."

good morning Valerie! you're late! " miss daisy said staring at her before taking a quick glance at her wrist watch

" I'm sorry miss I had to pick up a few things from the mall" Valerie said dropping her bag on the counter.

" okay! whatever! just make sure you're early next time " miss Daisy chided " okay miss thanks " Valerie said and miss Daisy nodded before retreating back to her office.

"  morning bestie " Valerie greeted beaming with smiles as she walked closer to Ariana.

Valerie and Ariana became best of friends when they started working at the Twiggy's cafe, they started off as colleagues but became more than that after some months. Valerie was 21  and Ariana was  20 but they behaved like sisters. Valerie was slim, tall with a tender light skin and black curly hair, while Ariana was slim tall with a fair skin and long blonde hair which made her look even more beautiful than Valerie.

they had so many  things in common and that made it easier for their friendship to bloom. " morning to you too bestie , you look very cheerful today Valerie" Ariana noted dropping her cleaning towel on the counter

."yeah! guess what ? " Valerie said to Ariana who was now facing her " Hmmmm! I can't, you know I'm bad at that just tell me what it is Ariana said grinning widely..........

"well my uncle Mr. Dominic came back from Alaska yester night and he bought so many novels for me, he knows I'm a novel freak so he got really interesting ones for me including the ones written by Authøress Divine Favóur" Valerie announced happily grabbing her bag " wow that's very nice! hope I was included in your list " Ariana said giving her that knowing look  "of course bestie how can I forget you, I got this for you" Valerie said stretching a book to her " Awwwwwn thanks, you're such a darling" Ariana said taking the book "OMG! the billionaire's heiress, I've been dying to read to read this novel authored by Authøress Divine Favóur" Ariana said flipping through the pages in excitement  " I know, and that's the reason I got that one for you. it's all yours" Valerie said sitting on the long stool behind the counter. " thank you so much bestie you're the best" Ariana squealed happily hugging Valerie who was surprised. " okay! you're welcome my dear" Valerie said making them burst into laughter.

      A customer walked in immediately and they broke the hug to begin their work. Valerie walked over to him to take his order while Ariana got into her apron       "one cappuccino pls" Valerie said to Ariana who walked into the kitchen to get the order while Valerie stood at the counter to make the necessary transactions and sales record
