Chapter 1
As the sun went down the sister of light in the city bloomed. Just like every other night the city was lighting up. A variation of beautiful colors of the many lights all over the city.
The city was just as busy as it was when the sun was out. The moon was a perfect crescent tonight. The usually busy city was loud with different sounds from many different directions. Although this man, can only assume the city was just as beautiful as it was when he was younger.
Futhermore, the sounds of the city did not change but his view on the city did. The man can not see the once beautiful city that was once in his heart clearly. Now that he have lost his ability to see, he have lost his privilege of seeing the precious city ever again. The man have to now rely on his other four senses to acknowledge the city.
Walking from the hospital, he had his white cane touching the ground lightly enough to feel where he was going, counting his steps just in case.
Suddenly someone carelessly bumped into the man. He almost met his fate with the ground but his reflexes reacted quickly catching his balance. Sighing a sigh of relief he felt around with his cane to see if anyone was there. The cane touched something that he guessed was a shoe. "Is anyone there," he proclaimed. Just then a booming voice said. "Watch where you're going, you freak and don't touch me." The person puffed then left abruptly. The person's words went in one ear and out the other.
Not bothered by the person, he continued walking. He sighed realizing he forgot what number step he was at. The man had to ask someone around if they knew what place he was near before he could continue his journey home.
The man proceed to walk to the left. A woman who was walking towards him was walking to the right. He heard footsteps so he change direction and walked to the right. The woman with headphones in was unaware of the man and walked to the left. Soon colliding into the man.
Causing a collision they both fell to the ground. "I'm so sorry I wasn't paying attention to where I was going." The woman got off the ground and dusted off her retro white dress. "Awl now I have to wash my dress." The woman looked dejected. She then looked at theh strange man watching him closely. "Its fine sorry for your dress I can pay for the dry cleaners for you." The man mumbled as he started patting the ground for his cane. Completely forgetting the dress the she quickly acted at his aid. She saw the man searching for his cane so she grabbed it, holding it out to him as support. "Is this what you're looking for," she said helping the man up. She handed him the cane. "Here grab this," She recommoned. He reached his hand up to grab his cane. With the support he pulled himself up off the ground. He thanked the woman then was on his way.
Only then he remebered he needed the directions so he back tracked to the woman. "Could you by any chance tell me what we are near?" The man questioned his surroundings as he waited a respond. "That's easy we are near Larbucks on street king avenue. Does that help?" The woman smiled warmlt with pearly white teeth. "Thank you again for your assistance." The man said then turned around and headed home.
