Halloween Night

Summary

t has been many years since Michael Myers had terrorized the small town in Illinois yet again and Haddonfield thought they had seen the last of him, but they are in for a rude awakening. Enter Billy Loomis, the son of Dr. Samuel Loomis, who is in the United States to study Psychology. However, that isn't the sole reason as to why he is in Haddonfield. Concerned with the mysterious disappearance of his father as well as a fellow student named Jamie LLoyd, Billy isn't convinced that Michael is gone for good and he is going to return home to Haddonfield this Halloween as he always does. Determined to end Michael's reign of terror once and for all, Billy has come prepared for all possibilities, except for one miscalculation: The remaining cult member who is out to get him. Disclaimer: I don't own the Halloween franchise .I only own characters like Billy. Michael Myers (c) John Carpenter

Prologue: The Doctor is out

It is quite a joyous sight. Alas, it won’t last for long.

Doctor Samuel Loomis sat inside his one story home on the outskirts of Haddonfield, staring out at the town. The houses have lit up the quiet and chilly night with yellow, green, and red Christmas lights on the night of Christmas Eve. Strangely, the town felt at peace as opposed to a couple months earlier when the boogeyman of Haddonfield had left a trail of bodies in his pursuit of the final member of the Strode/Myers bloodline. Thankfully with Loomis’s assistance, Michael’s plan to kill Jamie was thwarted, ending up with Michael disappearing. In the process, it was discovered that his closest friend Dr. Terence Wynn, the administrator of Smith’s Grove, was the leader of the now disbanded Cult of Thorn. This cult was responsible for grooming Michael to take the role of a serial killer every Halloween, but it appeared that this would be their own undoing. Michael had turned on the cult like a dog turning against his master and this resulted in a bloody massacre that annihilated the Cult of Thorn as well as resulting in the death of Dr. Wynn.

It appears good things never last long.

Dr.Loomis steadily rose, his bones aching from the cold, and stumbled over to his kitchen to make some tea. It had been snowing nonstop for a week here and it wasn’t until yesterday that the weather decided to let up and give the townspeople a break. However, several inches of snowfall covered roofs as well as lawns.

That just means extra work for me.

As the former psychiatrist started to pour his tea, the creak of his front door opening captured his attention.

“Hello?” he shouted. “Who’s there?”

Hearing no response to his query, Dr. Loomis stumbled over to his drawer and selected his S & W 15. The psychiatrist then cautiously approached his front door, the weapon in his hands drawn.

Has Michael come for me? No, that’s fiddlesticks. It might be some crook, nothing more.

Holding out his gun, Loomis then saw the door open, a chilly breeze coming inside. Closing the door, Loomis warily reentered his house and checked his rooms for any intruder. Surprisingly, he found no one who forcibly entered his home.

Hmmm, perhaps my bloody door needs some grease.

As he returned to his kitchen, he felt a sharp cold object rest on the back of his neck.

“Samuel Loomis, I presume?” A cold voice hissed in his ear.

“Who wants to know?”

The voice then chuckled. “Let’s just say a member of the Cult of Thorn you overlooked. You should have made sure that we were destroyed by our roots. It was your fatal flaw of overlooking that fact that will cost you. You will no longer intervene in our objectives for next All Hallow’s Eve.”

“Listen, you are playing a dangerous game.” Dr. Loomis wasn’t sure if this was a prank or not, but this was below the belt. “If you play with fire, you get burned.”

“Spare me your incessant gibberish, doctor. We will now proceed with removing our obstacle which is you. Now drop your gun and come with us.”

Seeing no choice, the psychiatrist did as he was told.

“Good, now walk straight out. No sudden moves, you hear me?”

I suppose there is no rest in my profession. I should have settled with sailing or flying. That would have been less hectic.

miacoveventry92: Beautiful story I was hooked after the first chapter. I have a few cousins who are deaf and are just little kids. I'm in my 30's and learning sign language is hard but I'm trying. I can't have full conversations with them as I've only memorized like 50 words but I thought this story was cute and it ...
