I think this pen pal thing is stupid and a waste of my time. Yet I signed up for it anyway because my best friend begged me to do so. I’m intentionally rude, blunt, and short as hell when I write my first letter to Ethan. But instead of not writing me back like I’d been wanting, he not only sends me a letter in return, but he includes a picture of himself and says he’s going to enjoy the chase I’m putting up. I’m not sure what to make of this man, especially when I struggle to be sexually attracted to people if I don’t have an emotional bond with them. But fine. If he wants to play this game, I’ll let him. Because there’s no way he can make me fall for him through letters, right? Wrong. Now, I’m sitting at the airport, waiting to meet him. Will he see the grump he’s gotten tangled up with and run the other way, or will he still want me despite my cold, rough exterior?
