The Contract
Y/n's POV
Drowned in work rubbing my temples I was skimming through a file sitting in my office when my phone rang distracting me. I picked up the call without sparing a glance at the caller id. Placing the phone near my ear I spoke up.
"Park Firms, Park Y/n speaking."
"You are still in the office?" I heard a familiar voice from the other end of the phone.
"I'll be leaving in an hour." I shortly answered.
"Stop by and join us for the dinner." The voice was firm.
I sighed. "Don't tell me one of your junior attorneys messed up again."
"Can't you visit your father besides work?"
I huffed in annoyance. "You need a favor again don't you?"
"Young Lady, behave."
I rolled my eyes at his statement. Disconnecting the call I stood up gathering my things preparing to leave.
I got out of my office walking towards the elevator, the building was almost empty. Exiting the building I grabbed my keys and drove off to the Park's mansion.
Author's POV
Upon entering the mansion she handed the car keys to the guards as they bowed down to show respect. Y/n entered the empty yet lit up hallway. Her black heels making no sound against the carpeted floor. Mid length chocolate brown wavy hair tied up in a ponytail as she was still in her formal dress carrying her blazer in one hand with the bag. Stepping in the dinning room her hazel eyes wandered around until they met a familiar one. She smiled.
"Welcome home princess." A man of almost the same height as her stood up hugging her.
"Missed you brother." She spoke up hugging him back.
"Thank God, You're finally here witch."
"Shut up Park Jay."
"Manners young lady I am still 2 years older than you."
"Whatever. Why did father call me here."
"No idea " Jay shrugged.
"We live in the same city and the last time you visited us was 3 months ago" Mr. Park entered complaining yet maintaining his authoritative tone.
"I still remember how you kicked me out of this place Father." she said taking her seat.
"It was years ago y/n move on already." Jay stated in an attempt to lighten up the atmosphere of the room.
Y/n chuckled. "I can't believe his mafia and business empire was so dear to him he kicked his only daughter out just because she didn't wanted to get her hands dirty in her father's illegal business." She casually said taking a bite of the food served in her plate by the maids.
"Never mind, but just to clear things father I owe you nothing so if this is about a favor I won't do it for free."
"Enough!" Mr. Park raised his tone a little while his grip on his fork tightened.
"Park Y/n, Our allies Jeons, the current rulers of the underworld need our help to maintain their power, in order to strengthen our relations I have arranged you with their heir Jeon Jungkook."
Y/n almost chocked on to her food. " And with whose consent did you arrange it." The rage was clearly visible in her eyes.
Her brothers looked evidently upset on their Dad's decision.
"Dad we shouldn't force her for something like this" Jimin stated his opinion on the matter calmly.
"It doesn't matter, Jimin it's just a year long contract she can get a divorce after that."
Y/n looked at her father in disbelief she stood up grabbing her coat and barged out of the dinning room in anger.
