My Mafia Madness 6 (the much-awaited wedding, the memory loss and the rise of new evil plans)

"As the previous suspenseful misunderstanding had taken place and given us some palpitations, the much-awaited wedding finally took place, after Dante patiently, attentively, and rapidly sorted out the unplanned issues. At least our favourite couple got a nice wedding day and night, after all, although the feeling of peace and relaxation couldn't last too long for them. Besides their captivating skills to outsmart the enemies and get out of trouble, I cannot go further with my impression without mentioning something like "Thank God for this", regarding the surprise backup forces from Aaron, Luca's amazing technical skills (among many others), Nicola's intuition or many of all the savoury plots from the good guys that are coming to save the day. Since the previous book was more serious, action-related with multiple terrifying scenes regarding abuse, torture and killing (I'm saying it as a compliment, since each one was amazing - the darker, the better), half of this one balances with light, sweet humour. Besides the main couple's chemistry, Nicola's crush on Becky makes me so happy, I'm really hoping they're going to have a positive relationship, with no negative surprises - fingers crossed. As I went through the chapters, I thought that Alexa's new pregnancy was the mind-blowing fact we had been waiting for, following the hints from the previous book. And her reaction when she found out and firstly told Nicola - priceless and hilarious. However, back to the dark moments: not that I want to give too many spoilers, but when Ivan the Butcher caught the couple off guard, delivered them, and Matteo blew him (literally!), I was stunned, even saying "WOW!" out loud. After Dante's severe physical injuries, it's good to have a great comeback, as the picture of the true hero that he is. The action going on in the ocean was breathtaking, I didn't expect it. Each altercation and suspenseful scene, together with Dante's personality to switch between the Reaper mode and the charismatic one, is purely delicious. However, Matteo's character left me with a more bitter taste than before. Just when I considered that his evil actions hid a little of pure adoration towards Alexa, I concluded that his feelings are just a toxic and creepy obsession, making the story more tense and keeping me hooked to it. The current amnesia makes the couple's chemistry even more desirable, I can't wait to see how our hero will regain Alexa's complete trust and devotion. Their physical attraction is undeniably amazing, but Dante's demeanour, patience and charms are the ones that made us fall so hard for him. "
