I just wanna cry

Not because I was wronged or insulted

Not because of the pain and hatred

I just wanna cry

I suffer from an unfathomable pain

A pain I can't explain

I feel my heartache

And it can never be fake

I just wanna cry

I've hurt others consciously

I've hurt others mistakenly

I've hurt others with my mouth

And ultimately

I just wanna cry

Tears begging to be free

But it can never be

Soul begging to be heard

But no one ever heard

I just wanna cry

I'm tired of the misconception

Tired of all the deception

With the fake smiles

And obvious lies

I just wanna cry

Want to be cared for

Want to be held and not asked “what happened”

I want so much more

But that can never happen

I just wanna cry

But is crying the only answer
