Our Chapter

"Despite his distressing family situation, inner struggles, and social anxiety, Race Gainell is your super ultra rare, down-to-earth, funny, and honest guy. After crashing Victoria Bailey’s birthday party alongside his cousin Ry, Race is determined to meet Victoria again and apologize to her. Slowly, but surely, he grows a soft spot for her in his heart. Little does he know she’ll take a liking to him too, for reasons beyond his thoughtful behaviors. In “Our Chapter,” Jay takes us on a deep, heartfelt journey of a man hiding behind his sarcastic front, exploring themes of loss and heartbreak, trust, and finding new purpose in life. The pace is slow and the POV switches diverted my attention from the main couple, but the story kept me invested through laugh-out-loud moments and moments where Race was dealing with heavy memories. I could relate to that, and it’s only when you embrace every piece of yourself that you’re able to carry the good and bad memories with you. Because all those memories make you who you are now. I loved seeing Race slowly getting comfortable with V, and with Victoria seeing some other man in him, I’m left on the edge of my seat guessing what happened six years ago. I wanna know why Race stopped running on track, and I hope he starts trusting God again and finds the woman of his dreams in Victoria. I hope their next chapter is as kind as their hearts🌻"
