Chapter 1 - New Item

It was a normal and sunny day. Johnny was walking down Jade Street, as the occasional person walked by him. After a bit of time has passed by, Johnny managed to walk into Antique Trove. The ringing bell causes Madeline to look up, who was usually sitting at the cash register on a foldable chair.

“Hey Johnny. What’cha looking for this time?” Madeline says as she shoots a quick look at Johnny, before returning her attention to the magazine she was reading.

“Just look around, ya know. Maybe I’ll catch something interesting.” Johnny says as his eyes fly around the shop.

“Oh actually, I think I have something in the back that might interest you.” Madeline says as she sets the magazine down on the counter. Johnny continues to look around as music softly played in the background. After a few minutes, Madeline emerges from the backroom, holding a bag in one hand, while closing the door with the other.

“So, here’s something we got recently.” Madeline says as she sticks her hand into the bag. She then pulls out a bundle of shrunken heads, all tied together by the shriveled up pieces of hair they had left. Each head, no bigger than a fist, had a different look. One has a gap-toothed grin, another with an annoyed look, and the last had a sad look, as if it witnessed something depressing.

“Oh what that hell... Are those shrunken heads?” Johnny asks with curiosity.

“Yup. Gotten them from some weird dude. Said something like, ‘Give them to the right person. He should know what to do.’ Weird dude, like I said.” Madeline says she slightly shakes the heads.

“I see... How much are they?” Johnny says as he pulls out his wallet.

“250 bucks.” Madeline sets the heads down gently on the counter.

“I’ll take them.” Johnny then forks over the cash, with Madeline immediately putting the money into the register. A few seconds later, Madeline puts the heads into a bag.

“Thank you.” Johnny says as he takes the bag from Madeline.

“No problem.” Madeline says as she sits back down.

“Have a good day!” Johnny says as he walks towards the store exit.

“You too!” says Madeline as she continues to read the magazine she had.

20 minutes passed by, and the front door clicks shut. Johnny heads upstairs and enters his bedroom. After setting the shrunken heads on a nail he quickly hammered into the wall, he steps back and took a quick look at them. When Johnny left the room, one of the shrunken heads started to shake, and its eyes then glowed green.
