Chapter 1: First Victim.
As the clock struck 7:00 pm, the night wrapped an 18-year-old teenage girl in its dimly lit embrace as she journeyed back to her college dorm room, her footsteps echoing the vibrant memories of a joyful evening with friends. Oblivious to the watchful eyes trailing her, the young woman remained unaware of being observed. Anxious to reach her dormitory, she readied herself to retire for the night. Just moments away from safety, a shadowy figure crept up behind her, seizing her suddenly, and covering her nose and mouth with a cloth soaked in chloroform. The startled and bewildered young girl erupted into screams and wild resistance, until exhaustion began to overtake her, her eyes growing heavy as she slowly succumbed to unconsciousness, while the mysterious figure proceeded to carry her lifeless form away.
