Well thought out Mafia story from a Russian perspective
"This was a well thought out book that delivered on all fronts. It's only about 40 chapters long but it had well developed characters, a decent background story and the plot moved pretty well. The dangers were expected and without much intrigue, you knew who would do what and mostly when...but that didn't detract from the story. It was an interesting perspective from a Russian mafia point of view. The differences are just enough to keep interest going. The female lead fought the good fight against falling for Alexei's charms but eventually let him in, while being irreverent throughout. I think that's what drew him in, he wanted her from the beginning but her ability to fight him off intrigued him and he fell quicker then even he expected. Theirs was a strong love story that once developed, took off and expanded. The side characters added to the story for the most part, with the exception of the former boyfriend. Something happened to him but it was off screen. He just never showed back up again. Which is fine, he wasn't going to win her back after his betrayal. All in all a good book with believable characters and a good flowing story. "

"I liked the plot. It moved relatively quickly so I wasn't bored. I think it was a solid feel good romance story. I didn't notice many spelling errors but I'll say honestly, they are a distraction for me when I catch them. Overall though, well done. "
