Prologue
In a clearing a day’s journey from the forest and moorland where the clan cats reside live two siblings. Their names are Raven and Dove, daughters of Eagle and Mist. Their parents died a couple of moons ago, their mom of an illness and their father was hit by a monster on the thunderpath while searching for herbs for her. Raven and Dove were only four moons old. By some miracle, they survived by learning to hunt and fish. They worked together to hunt the bigger prey such as rabbits. They became exceptional hunters in their own right. Currently, Raven and Dove are both six moons old.
In that clearing, everything is peaceful. The sky is clear and there’s no sign of twolegs or their dogs. Raven and Dove, being little more than kits, still enjoy playing with the occasional moss ball. However, little do they know that their lives are about to change forever.
