Chapter 1
The four of us are happy we are with one another and get along. We have forgiven one another and have moved forward. We all decided we were going to have a double wedding in Hawaii on the beach. The four of us are splitting the costs of the wedding. Rick's family no longer has chosen not to be part of our lives. Initially. Sophie took it hard but has accepted it. She feels it is their loss. The three of us agree, and her friends agree too. We are having our rehearsal dinner with the wedding party as well as their spouses and children.
Peter gives the toast, and Paul says the blessing. We are having a luau for the rehearsal dinner and enjoying ourselves. The evening is ending. Cindy and Julia have one room in a suite while the two sisters share on suite. We walk back to the hotel, and it is summer. Our wedding will be at sunset when it is cooler. We decided on tropical flowers and have over 500 people showing up.
We are only having two ring bearers and one flower girl. Julia's great nephews are the ring bearers, and one of Sophie's great granddaughter is the flower girl. We all are wearing cream floral dresses and will be barefoot. We walk down the aisle with our fiancée holding a bouquet of tropical flowers grown locally. The ring bearers will be dressed in tan shirts with a floral top that is dark brown. The flower girls' dress will match the ring bearers shirt. We have bands already engraved with the date and each couples name in them. They are white gold with a few diamonds on 3/4 of the ring.
" Julia, are you ready for tomorrow night?"
" Yes, we planned everything well. My great nephew will be the DJ, so we know the music will be great." " Are you?"
" Yes, but nervous. I never thought she would want to marry me after the way it ended." Cindy, you have always been a catch. She and many others knew she fucked up. Just think about when she says I do. This is all that truly matters. Let's watch a movie before we go to sleep."
We decided to watch a British mystery movie. Cindy popped two bags of popcorn, and I opened two cans of Dr. Pepper. We are sitting on the couch watching it and enjoying our snacks.
" Sophie, we are going to really do what you mentioned. I really didn't think we all agreed on it, but I am glad. I can't wait for her to be my wife." " Silvia, I was so wrong to have treated her the way I did. If I hadn't, we might have gotten married." " Things happen for a reason. God has allowed you two to see your mistakes. He brought me back together. Mom and dad always loved Carlo for you. I know they will be looking down happy for us. They never did like Rick for either of us."
We talked a little more before we went to our rooms to shower and go to bed.
Julia and I tossed everything in the trash and hugged one another before we went to our rooms to shower and do our nightly routine before we went to bed to sleep. We would be meeting several people to go horseback riding on the beach after we ate breakfast in our rooms.
