Welcome, I’ve started this project with some large ambitions that are unlikely to be realized but we’ll attempt them all the same. I wanted to start three interweaving narratives that the reader could follow down as they please. These narrative lines will largely be connected to one of the three groupings of Player / Mitas in the beginning and I’ll attempt to make them readable individually but we’ll see where the project goes. We start off with some mixing of pairs, this is mainly to introduce the characters without excessive exposition. The PLAN is to ‘return’ to the original pairings for future chapters but we’ll see where the narrative takes us. Either way, reading all three of the first narrative chapters is recommended.
If you are unaware of the Mispace universe this story will likely be difficult to follow. I do not go into great detail explaining the general layout of a common ‘Mita’ room. You probably don’t even know what a Mita is. We’ll see what feedback and traction this project gets, if there is enough interest from individuals who haven’t watched or played the game, perhaps I could input some prologue chapters to explain the original story. This is not where I want to focus my time on however.
The world of Miside captured my attention by the potential of the universe and psychological implications of individuals existing in a universe ALONE, with barely any interaction save for a singular individual. We’ll be exploring the potential psychological effects of this as well as going down a horror adventure for a better construction of the world. Just to make clear though: the subject matter I personally am most interested in is the psychology of the characters involved. We will be touching on some hard themes: Dependence, Stockholm syndrome, Suicidal ideation, unhealthy obsessions, bigotry and more. I’ll attempt to label each chapter prior to uploading it with potential subject matter that some might not be comfortable with.
I am NOT a professional in the mental health space and most of what I know is largely through self experience and research. Please do not treat these characters as realistic impressions of potential mental conditions / disorders. Any professionals that might be interested in the story I happily ask to reach out to me if you feel a desire to share your personal experiences and knowledge to give more life to these characters.
Large talk for a project I HOPE goes somewhere but we’ll see. Hopefully together we can explore the potential ramifications and ideas of the Miside universe and come out building a story together.
