Reality
“Everyone says to study, build a career but no one guides about the reality of the world...”
Before reading further, ask yourself these questions and answer them honestly:–
1. How is the Indian Education System?
2. If studying can make anyone successful, then why is there so much problem with unemployment?
3. Why rich gets richer and poor gets poorer?
4. Is hardwork and study is the only option?
5. Why people are not becoming rich with a 9-5 job and a stable salary?
I know these questions are enough for you to get bored and stop reading. But what if I give you the honest answers???
Let me clear your doubts with a story...
Once upon a time there was a student or you can say a backbencher in a school. He used all his time on the computer and playing games. Every teacher complaints about him, everyday his parents yell at him. One day he got fed up and ran away from his home.
He reached another city and started a small business. Slowly, his business started to grow and he became a millionaire.
His classmates, who were topper, applied for jobs in his company and started working under his leadership with a normal salary.
The one who didn’t study became the boss while the toppers were mere employees.
In school, after the story, the teachers asked what moral did you get from this story? So what do you understood by the story I told?
Dear readers, it’s the harsh TRUTH. This is happening in our country. And do you know why? Because of the mindset. The richer gets richer because they invest on right things while the poor gets poorer because they invest on things that will make their lives recurring.
Now what is recurring life... Actually what a middle class family doing? The same thing whole life, right? Wake up, 9-5 job, monthly salary, expenses, savings, retirement and death. The same with others members and next generation.
Answer yourself this one thing - Do middle class people enjoy their lives? Mostly will say yes... A happy family but it’s not truth. Did they go on tours, exploring the world and opportunities? No... They don’t have enough money and time cause they are busy in 9-5 job and coming home all tired.
Many of the readers belong to the middle class and I want to ask, are you really happy with that salary? Let me tell you one more harsh truth, in your job or your respective sectors, either you work honestly or lazily, either you work more or less, you will receive your respective salary, no more no less.
But if you change your mindset, your perspective, then you will understand the problem.
Have you seen the movie ‘3 Idiots’ ? There was a dialogue of Amir Khan, about the manufacturing of engineering students!!! Do you remember? Every year colleges manufacture students.
In schools, you have read about, cells are the structural and functional unit of life, mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, tan, sin, cos, theta, omega, geometry, construction of circles, using set squares and many other things... Are they things useful to you now? No, not until you study higher and higher in that particular stream or field.
The knowledge we are getting in schools and colleges are theoretical knowledge and nothing practical. No experience or no skills, no development.
Indian students are struggling a lot due to lack of skills and practical knowledge.
Let me feed you one more truth -
There was a girl, who was introvert and was from a middle class family but she was an above average student. She always achieved between 80-80.5% from the ICSE board. In 10th standard she achieved around 75% when her family started to expect more from her. They wanted her to become an engineer or an IAS officer. That’s what our parents expect from us right? But that girl mentally prepared herself for challenging the family beliefs. It was the time when she was in 12th standard but luck was not in her favour. It was 2020-21 and the world was suffering from the pandemic COVID-19. Her classmates who were not as introvert as her, got admission in colleges, started studying and she was left in her bubble. Then she leaned graphic designing online and got certificates. She applied for internships but got rejected getting the excuses that they need high level graphic designing skills and that girl had basic level skills. But she didn’t give up and started working on herself, developing her personality. She came across a website which helped her learn more skills and she used both knowledge, doing freelancing and any work that demanded those skills and even guiding other students too. She challenged everyone and now living her life to the fullest. She is not working under anyone, she is her own boss. She is none other than me.
The person who helped me change my mindset explained this:
The competition is high and its between the average ones (those who think that only 9-5 job or civil services is the only thing left in the world). The top is empty and only 1% of people are there in the top and those are investors, businessmen. If you don’t understand then this school example will clear your doubts - Many students get 80,80.5,75.6, 78, 75.8, 75.5 but only a few get 90, 94, 96. The top is empty.
No job is big or small, it’s all about mindset.
Enough about this mindset, the main reason for which I decided to write this novel is about the Indian Education System.
I have came across many incidents in past 5-6 years and now I think it’s getting too much.
One of those things is very common and I think each one of you thought about this – on rainy days, it’s announced holiday for students but not teachers...why? Are teachers waterproof?
Everyone (Politicians) says that government schools are good, the new generation is spreading false knowledge about government schools, many things. But why the children of those so called rich people are studying in the most expensive schools? Now many of you will say that’s it’s the fault of politicians, not the education system!!! But, isn’t that education system has political interference??? Everything is connected.
During the pandemic COVID-19, there was lockdown. Slowly people started to go out of their home but with some rules. Everyone started studying from home but, there was a compulsory order for teachers to go to the school. Are they virusproof or antivirus? But let’s not discuss that tragic year.
We all know that everyone is different and everyone has different abilities. We all have passed alot of time in our school and maybe some of you are still in a school. Is every student is a topper? No. But the teachers teach everyone equally... They explain that particular chapter or topic to everyone in the class, not some students but it’s the mindset, the capacity of their unique brains to grab that knowledge. Some students grab in first time while some take more time. So if a student fails, is it the fault of that teacher that he/she didn’t taught that failed student?
I don’t know if it’s happening all over India or just in my area. There was a team that checks on teachers and students in government schools. Or in simple words, they track the progress of teachers and students.
They say, that each student of 2nd standard, MUST read 60 words in 60 seconds without stammering, and if all the students can’t, then it’s the fault of that teacher who is INCAPABLE of teaching in their eyes and narrowed thinking. Exploitation, right?
It’s just some glimpse, there are many things happening related to our education system in each part of our country. Many of us know but they don’t speak... Either they think that let go or they are afraid of putting their words forward. We are the youth and if we don’t take actions for our beloved and motherland then who will?
You know I read it somewhere that the salary of teachers in Germany are highest cause “Every dream of a student starts with a teacher and only teaching is the occupation that creates other occupations.” If there are no teachers, then there will be no doctors, no engineers...no other occupations.
Leave teaching, even the IT industry employees are not satisfied with their salary. Everyone is suffering. Companies promise them a good income but when they join, no one cares.
Another rotatory scam, a middle class person becomes an employee in any sector, gets an average salary, takes loan for home, education of children, marriage, EMI, retirement, pension and death.
Have you seen the movie ‘Jawan’ by SRK (Shahrukh Khan). There was a reality check about the interest rate on loans. Do you remember? That’s why rich are getting richer and poor are getting poorer.
Change your mindset and grow and live your life on your own terms and conditions.
