Chapter 1

Axel

Everything is going right for me now. Since meeting Mallory, I’ve fallen head over heels in love with her; I’d do anything to protect her. She cries and buries her head in her hands. “I’m pregnant.” Those words were something I didn’t think I’d hear again, well not so soon.

“Do you think we should tell Rocco that he is going to be a big brother?” I smirk as I think about the look on his face.

“I’d rather wait until we know for sure. You know the safe point in pregnancy.” She chews on her bottom lip.

“Of course, darling. We should book you an appointment to confirm things.” I put her down so we can finish getting ready.

Six weeks until our wedding, and we still need to find outfits. This day is turning out to be the best day of my life. I pull on a top and a jacket as Mallory finishes putting her shoes on.

She literally takes my breath away at how effortlessly beautiful she is. I am one damn lucky guy. My dick is already hard and well fuck me, my girl is carrying my baby. I felt a surge of happiness when Jackie shared her news of her pregnancy; I thought she loved me. But it turned out that she didn’t. I was a money-making machine and when I was at my lowest point in my life; she dumped Rocco and me.

I cup her face and run my palm over her cheek before kissing her lips. We are meeting with Bex and Rocco. “If I had time, I’d show you how much I love you.” I press my arousal against her as I slide my hand down over her ass.

The gasp and tug on her bottom lip followed by a kiss says she feels it, too. “We have arrangements to keep.”

“Five minutes,” I rasp out. I pick her up and throw her down on the bed.

“Axel,” she squeals.

The dress she has on is easy for me to hike up, and I tug on her panties and pull them down to her knees. Then I push her legs up as I pull my zipper, dropping my pants down. I control her by gripping her panties and slap my hard cock against her pussy. Dribbles of pre-cum coat my tip, so I press it against her pussy lips and smear it over her. She is tight in this position, so I spit on her, wetting her entrance. Usually there is more foreplay, but I need her. As I push my cock inside her, she gasps and cries out my name.

We should be walking out of the door by now, instead I’m pounding relentlessly into my woman. I can’t believe that Mallory fucking Collins, the woman I love, will soon be my wife and the mother of our child. Happy is far too weak a word to describe the intense surge of emotion I’m experiencing. Giving her clit the relief it needs, I can feel myself on the brink of filling her with satisfaction.

“Axel,” she cries out, and I feel her pussy walls tighten against my fat cock.

Sweat drips down my back and forehead as I feel myself tipping over the edge. As my climax approaches, I can feel the tension in my balls increasing before my orgasm erupts. Our joined cries fill the room. She is everything I’ve ever wanted, and more; she is perfect for me.

With a quick cleanup, and I freshen my face, we walk out of the house together. We leave in my car. The beast roars to life as I put my foot on the pedal and I drive to the shop.

Bex, Rocco, Amy and Daz are standing talking outside as we approach it.

“Well, you two are late. It better not happen on your wedding day.” Rocco shakes his head.

I punched his arm. “I pampered my future wife, taking exceptional care to satisfy her thoroughly before we set off.”

“Axel!” Mallory pouts. “It was nothing to do with satisfying my needs. This man can’t keep it in his pants.” She gives me a playful glare.

Without driving to the next city, this formal dress and suit shop is the only one in the town. Bride dresses are at one end, and suits at the other end. We all go in together, and I know I am the talk of the town as the salespeople all whisper amongst themselves as we split up and look at dresses and suits.

“Can I help you, gentlemen?” The young assistant eyes up Rocco.

“Yes, we need three suits. I’m wanting black and the tie to be a wine red color. These two are my best men, so I’m not sure if they wear different styles of suits?” I shrug my shoulders. In some ways, I’d gladly go to Las Vegas and marry Mallory there, but her father would kill me.

“Yes, okay. So we need to measure you up to get the correct sizing.” She says with a smile. There was a quiet competence about her that suggested she knew exactly what she was doing. With a notepad, pen, and tape measure in hand, she began. “So, if I can get each of your names, I’ll note your measurements. Then we will look at what we have.”

My phone buzzes in my pocket, and the message that comes through has me worried. The assistant stays professional throughout and I can’t help but keep glancing over to where Mallory is in full discussion with the girls. Their excessive giggling keeps drawing me in. I need to hold her.

“Just go try it on,” Amy whispers, but I can still hear her from over here.

With a quick glance over her shoulder, Mallory slips into one of the changing rooms, and my heart does a ridiculous, nervous flutter. The other two start looking at bridesmaid dresses. Rocco and Daz are getting shown some suits, and I rub my chin, the rough stubble scratching against my fingertips.

I sneak past the two girls as they talk about the cut on the dresses with the assistant. As I come to the closed curtains, I slide them apart enough to see Mallory with the dress on. She is struggling with the back. Stepping inside, I close the curtain and grab the zip she was fighting with.

“Thanks,” she mutters as she adjusts the front. Then she looks up into the mirror and gasps. “Axel, what are you doing in here? Don’t you know it is bad luck to see the bride before the wedding?”

Lost in her eyes, I stand transfixed, unable to look away from her. I’m not one for getting emotional, but I’m at a loss for words. Her beauty is utterly stunning, a sight that leaves me speechless. I swallow the lump in my throat; the dryness making my mouth feel like sandpaper, and take her hand.

“How did I get so lucky with you?” My lips curved into a smile, a warmth spreading through me.

“You shouldn’t be in here.” She whispers. But her smile deceives her.

I cup her face tenderly and then brought my mouth to hers, pressing a soft kiss against her lips. Our tongues explore each other’s mouths, creating an intimate and passionate connection.

“Axel King!” The curtains whip open and I’m exposed to everyone. Bex stands there fuming, her hands on her hips.

I roll my eyes at her. “Good job I didn’t have my dick out and pounding my future wife in here then.” I smirk, then lean in and kiss Mallory again. “The dress is nice, but chose a different one.” I wink and leave the dressing room.

“Rocco, keep him on a leash.” Bex calls over to the boys.

“Dad.” Rocco shakes his head. “Why do you want to spoil it?”

“I can’t wait to see my wife in her wedding dress; there’s nothing wrong with that!” I say and shrug my shoulders.

I haven’t told them yet, but the message I received has me worried. A dull ache, a constant thrum of thoughts. The two years Jackie got put into jail for, she has somehow managed to get a reduced sentence. With good behavior, she could be released from prison in as little as six months.

“Dad?” Rocco furrows his brow. I clench my jaw and glance back over at Mallory. Then I pull out my phone and show him the message so he understands. “There is no way she will step back in this town.” His anger is now clear.

“What she did to me, and I set her up. Do you really think she won’t try something?” I whisper.

“Well, at least she won’t be able to spoil your wedding day.” He puffs out a sharp breath.

Yeah, but by the time she gets out, Mallory might have had our baby.” But I’m not going to tell him yet.

I gaze over at Mallory; at the same moment, she looks my way, a flicker of something unidentifiable crossing her features. Can she tell that I’m worried about her? I smile lovingly at her before she turns away and Bex ushers her away to try on another dress.

Even without Mallory, and if Jackie had come back, I still would have ignored her desperate pleas for my attention. She burned that bridge a long time ago. Now I had to devise a plan to protect my future wife and child from her.
