SANJANA SHIVAKUMAR PoV:

" AKKA (elder sister) get up it’s time for your collage’ I heard my little brother’s voice . I mumbled 5 mins and slept again. Later , I heard my mom shout my name saying it’s already 8 o’clock.

‘shit’ I mumbled and went inside my bathroom did my daily routine and got dressed.

Hey there my name is Sanjana and 1st year Btech student. I have to be in collage by 9 Am. I have to get ready for my collage bus , we can also come to collage with our own transportation. Since my bike is not here from my grandmas home I have to travel in the college bus which is by 8:30.

I went downstairs and greeted my appa (dad) , gave him a hug and pinched my little brother’s cheeks.

′ ahh! akka it’s painful leave my cheeks alone ,Amma look at her!′ He shouted as he caressed his cheeks to ease the pain.I and my father chuckled at him.

“Ammu ! (An endearment name )don’t trouble your brother , aren’t you late for your bus so eat fast I don’t want you to miss your bus on the very first day’ she said and placed my breakfast . Which is my favourite masala dosa ( It is made from rice, lentils, potato, fenugreek, ghee and curry leaves, and served with chutneys and sambar.)

“Sanju ma ! Shall I drop you da?” My dad asked me , I shoook my head “No appa it’s fine and i will get my bike in a week until then let me experience this bus travel” I spoke with a smile. He pats my head and chuckles.

I ate my breakfast and it’s already 8:25 it’s time to go to my bus stop.I say goodbye to my dad, mom and my little brother and went to my bus stopping.

My collage bus arrives and I get in and search for an empty seat since the front side of the bus is filled . I found an empty seat and sat beside a girl . She turns her head to my side . “Hi I am Anamika” the girl who sat beside me says and I tell her my name. I got to know that Anamika is biotechnology student.

As we reached the collage I waved at Anamika since she is from different department. I was searching for my 1 st class since it’s my first day I don’t know my respective classes . My first class was computer programming.

Why does this building have so many floors , this constant roaming around for my class it’s killing my leg . Since I am afraid of the lift (elevator) well due to my crazy mind which erupts with questions like “what happens when the lift got stuck in the middle”? “what if the lift wire gets cuts in the middle?” “And what if the power is off when I am in the elevator?” See stupid questions. what to do I will not go into that rectangular box called lift ( elevator) .

After taking hours of hours I found my 1 st class not hours after few mins due to a very kind senior sister who helped me to find my class.I thanked her and went to my class . Since the professor hasn’t came yet I went inside the classroom and took the last bench what to say proud backbencher since school,old habits die hard . I look out since the students were chatting among themselves. As I was looking outside I didn’t even notice when the whole classroom was silent.

I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned my head to notice a girl well she was kinda cute in all black kurti outfit . “May I help you”I asked her.she raised her right eyebrow and smiled .

I smiled too cuz I always wanted to have a friend. ’Well you are in last row that’s kinda new ” she said smiling . “Huh , I am Sanjana you are?” I said and extended my hand for a shake which she accepts. ”Ruchika and good to know I won’t be lonely at least sitting in the last row”she said and smiled.

Then I suddenly felt everyone looking at us , some mumbling and talking about us I think.I turned my head towards Ruchi (nickname) for her. “Don’t you all have other business to do”she shouts and everyone went back to whatever they were doing. She also said that she has a twin sister who is absent due to some reason and her name is Rakshitha.

Then the professor came and introduced herself as Mrs. Vani. She was kind good because I don’t want the professors to shout at us for silly reasons.after what felt like hours and taking notes. It was break time for about half an hour since our collage starts 9 am so we get half an hour in the morning and afternoon break and one hour for lunch.

I drag Ruchi with me to the canteen to get some snacks. “Slow down girl , the canteen is not going anywhere” she chuckled.I smile and walked towards the canteen.I then see Anamika and call her with us . Our canteen is common to all the departments here we can literally can see every department student and the canteen is kinda big. “Anamika this is Ruchika and Ruchika this is Anamika” I introduce them and greets them back. “I am hungry come onnn” I say and drag them and they chuckled.

I get 3 chips packet , kitkat and samosa for ourselves.I look around the area and found the table for us and sat down. I started munching the chips and kitkat to eat later.

“So how was your class Ana” I asked Anamika . “Mmm ,Good and went well in the first class and how did it go for the both of you? she asked. “Well good I guess”Ruchi replied.Ruchi got a call so she went out to talk and said she will directly come to the class. since the time was over we have to head back to the class so I bid Ana bye . “Bye Sanju ” I giggled at her for the nick name she gave me and turned and straightly gotten hit the wall and was about to hit the ground.

As I was waiting for my butt to land on the floor and closed my eyes to feel the pain instead I felt a hand on my waist and I clutched the wall for my support .wait but how can I ? I opened my eyes to see ′why the heck I did not fall?’.

The first thing I saw was a shirt and looked up to find beautiful pairs of black eye’s staring at me. He was just perfect his nose and his pink lips was perfect too. He looked amused as he looked at me .huh?

I lift my hand to caress his cheeks but didn’t! , sometimes I just think how stupid I can be but hey it’s just me you know ( eye roll) and look at him with a smirk on his lips. “so cute I just want to drag both side of his cheeks” I whispered I Guess he heard it and just raised his perfect left eyebrow up. Aww! how can a man look so handsome .Sanjana snap out of it!.

" I know I am handsome but you can also take a picture ” I look up at him and blinked twice and stood straight and pushed him a little and heard last bell ring indicating to attend the classes. I run to my class without even looking back. I shake my head and enter the class luckily the professor hasn’t come yet.

I went to my seat and thought about the mysterious man and smile and muttered of how stupid I was to think to do that. Ruchi looks at me like ’are you crazy? I just shake my head and look up to see the class already started .

Then we went to the canteen for lunch break . I saw Ana with her food my stomach growls like a hungry wolf . I see Ruchi snicker I look at her and glare. ” sari moraikadha chellakutty va poi sapdalam” ( ok don’t glare at me cutie and come we will eat )she said and dragged me to the food counter.
