A Hilarious, Gritty, and Unputdownable Sci-Fi Ride (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars)
""Pickup Time" by Jad Dittmar is a highly entertaining story following two girls, a man, and a robot. The narrative is masterfully laced with sharp humor and unpredictable situations that will make you burst out laughing one moment and gasp the next. At its heart, it is a survival story. The leads find themselves navigating a rough, unforgiving world where you literally have to sell yourself just to get something to eat, and where you must pretend to be someone else just to get through the door. The chaotic situations they stumble into keep you turning the pages rapidly. What I love most about this book is its raw energy. It may describe a rough and desperate world, but the witty execution makes it incredibly hard to put down. If you want a sci-fi read that is equal parts gritty and laugh-out-loud funny, this is it!"

"An unlikely crew engages in some acts of villainy and some acts of heroism in this story, and one of them was saved from dying by other members of the crew earlier on in the story. This story has a great plot, intriguing characters, and it contains themes such as how sometimes folks are pretty complicated when it comes to the morality of how they behave. I’ve finished 17 chapters of this story so far and am really liking it, and I highly recommend this story and look forward to reading the rest of it!"
