The door bell was continuously ringing . Kavya walked towards the door and opened it. Shocked by the scene unfolding in front of her, her eyes widened. “Move away” said Kartik ,he holded the girl beside him firmly yet gently who was dressed up in a beautiful wedding gown.

Kavya closed the door and went toward them. She griped Kartik’s arms and said” who is she?”

KAVYA POV

He yanked my hand, my eyes full of pain” Who is she?” I asked again.......”MY WIFE,MY LOVE” he shouted.

My eyes widened in shock.” You can’t do this to me , I am your wife. I am married to you Kartik” I said with shock and pain, tears rolled down my eyes.

" What’s happing here? Kavya my child why are you crying” said Vishnu. He turned toward Kartik and added” what all this is Kartik, who is she and why is she wearing a wedding gown”. Kartik gulped the lump down his throat” Da...Dad...she is my ....w..wife, she is c-ch.....chaya, I love her”

I was about to collapse but Priya held me, I hugged her tightly and buried my face in her shoulder, my sobs came out muffled. “Are you crazy Kartik, you are already married” blurted Vishnu. ” I didn’t expected this from you Kartik, look at Kavya, look how she is crying, what sin have you committed” responded Priya.

“You are my sister Priya, why are you supporting a girl like her, she is gold digger and characterless”. ” ENOUGH” roared Vishnu causing everyone to flinch and go silent.

“Why are you shouting on my son Vishnu, he has done what is right. He had married the girl he loves and about Kavya, he is right. She was born characterless” replied Avantika. ” Shame on you Avantika, how can you speak such ill things about your own daughter in law. Even after being a woman, you are speaking such things” answered Vishnu.

Kartik screamed in anger while saying ” MOM IS RIGHT DAD. KAVYA MARRIED ME EVEN AFTER KNOWING I LOVE SOMEONE ELSE; SHE IS A WH-

A SLAP echoed in the mansion. Everyone gasped, my hands travelled to my mouth by themself. Dad slapped Kartik, his cheeks were red, and his face turned to right because of the intensity of the slap.

“You are not my son anymore and I don’t accept this girl as my daughter-in-law. I will never forgive you for what you have done to my daughter Kavya. Priya take Kavya to her room” Vishnu responded in anger.

I stood up as Priya held me, she made me sat on my bed. We heard loud shouting from down stairs, I was about to get up when Pria said ” you should sit here, I will look after them” and she went downstairs.

I rested my back on the headboard and closed my eyes, tears rolled down my eyes. What had I done to deserve all this? Why this is happening to me? Ahhh! seeing my husband with another women made my heart crush into pieces, she will get all the love I wanted, I needed, and I deserved. Seeing him belonging to someone else made me dead inside. why can’t he be mine, ahhhh!!!

The door busted open with a loud noise. He stormed toward me and grabbed my jaw tightly , his nails buried in my jaw causing me pain. Ahhh!! you are hurting me Kartik! leave me!

" You deserve it Kavya for what you have done” he spatted angrily. “You knew I loved Chaya but you still choose to marry me. You are a gold digger, who is hungry for money, for wealth and luxury lifestyle. And don’t you dare to come between us “. He glared looking in my eyes with pure hate and anger. The anger in his eyes terrified me to core. I overcome my fear and said “you can’t do..... this to me, I love y..ou. I am your legal ....wife. You belong to me , it’s my right and you are ....my husband. And that Chaya , she is a slu- my face jerked to right due to the slap, I got slammed on the wall . Tears started to fall through my eyes, I slipped down the wall. “I can’t stand it anymore, I am tired, I can’t do it anymore!!!! He came toward me and bent down to my height and exclaimed ” You won’t , you will do it if you don’t love your little friend ′VANI’. Did you get it? And if you do, I will make your friends life a living hell!!!!” he answered while grabbing his nails in my jaw , pulling out my flesh. He went out while shutting the door with a loud noise. The loud noise inside my chest, my heartbeat was making me restless.

The door opened slowly , a pair of eyes peeked through the door.
