When Isla was young, she swore that she wouldn’t get herself in trouble because she wanted to make her parents proud. Graduating with flying colors was the dream of her parents. It was embedded in her brain that she should be as competitive as her twin brother; as smart he was, too. Isla was forced to see her twin as her competition—it was all a part of their parents’ sick mind—to make them rivals.

But that didn’t happen since the siblings didn’t want to compete with each other.

As years went by, the smile on the young woman’s face slowly faded away as the persuasion of their parents to make the siblings rivals grew stronger. So, the siblings made a plan.

The siblings formed a vendetta against their parents; they also made an elusive plan that they planned to do after their college graduation.

But something changed before they graduated from college.

Her twin brother backed out from their plan after he met someone she described as delinquent. Two years before their graduation, her brother left their family without finishing college after he got hooked up with illegal drugs and gambling.

Isla was left alone with their parents who were more in favor if she was the one who left, and not her brother.

Two years after her twin left, she was no longer the same person. Her charcoal gray eyes turned into stormy ones. Her short jet-black hair turned into a disheveled long locks. And the smile she had on her face completely vanished while the scars on her wrists and burns on her arm showed.

She wasn’t the Isla from two years ago.

Then, her graduation came. She was the only one who didn’t attend the graduation ceremony since her parents were too busy to give a damn and too depressed to attend. Devastated by everything that had been happening in her life for the past years, she tried to end everything by hurting herself. All the years of her therapy were wasted from every burn she made herself.

Isla went from wanting to live independently with her brother to wanting to die. She was never the same.

Until, one day. She received a message from her brother asking her to come follow him. For two years she didn’t hear anything from him but she continued to leave him voice mails—and he heard them all. Wanting to save his twin sister from her misery, he asked her to follow him so they could start their lives without the pain of getting ignored by their parents.

The day came and she drove from Phoenix, Arizona to Los Angeles because that’s where her brother asked her to meet him. But her beaten-up car gave up and broke down before she reached her destination.

But the thing is, she accidentally entered a dangerous territory where all the lions await.

Stopping at Los Santos was never on Isla’s itinerary. She didn’t even want to associate herself with dangerous people. Yet, she was asked to be the hostage for a gang—the strongest gang in the city—The Shadow Killers.

Meet Pierce Bullet—the most mischievous one in the gang and the self-acclaimed lady’s man. Born in London, England; this six-foot-four green-eyed man was somehow raised in Los Santos after he left his hometown and accidentally became one of the most feared criminals.

They say that a supernova resembles a magnificent cosmic spectacle that unfolds when a massive star nears the end of its life. And just like the phenomenon, the two strays of the town somehow found their way toward each other.

The question is, how long is it going to take for this phenomenon to stay?

When the world falls, would you stay and watch?

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
