Chapter 1
The sun hung low in the sky as the night was coming close. A small troupe of knights followed by the kings son, Prince Minho. The king had instructed the Prince and knights to go to the mountains in search for the Mortey river. You see, a single drop of the waters could heal any sickness in an instant. This could be used for the royal family and royal court.
The small troup were in the middle of a deep, dark forest. It was getting late and the horses were slowly becoming exhausted. Jisung, Minhos trusted servant, was ridkng close behind his prince. He was desperate to protect him, no matter what. Even though he was more scared about entering the mountains. He knew Owden’s men (bandits and assassins) learked around these parts. Jisung looks up into the sky for a moment and could see thick, dark-grey clouds closing in.
“Sire, do you think we should turn back or maybe set up camp for the night?” Minho looks back and sees his servant’s expression. He looked concerned, almost scared. Minho could see straight through the brave face he was trying to put on.
“Jisung, we will make camp in another hour or so. Okay?” Minhos tone was caring and understanding, not at all demanding. Jisung nods, a small smile tugging at the corners on his lips.
“Yes, Sire.”
Minho smiles back at him, satisfied.
