Prologue: The Rapture Begins
Flames that burn underneath with rage. A Kingdom of light gone white with fury. It can only mean one thing. The rapture is about to begin, Earth's mortal ground is now the battlefield of Heaven and Hell. Demons and devils against Angels and The cross.
God and Satan are at war. Ever since Satan, a former messenger by the name of Lucifer was banished from Heaven for betrayal many many years ago. And God has held onto that grudge for the rest of his life.
One thing that God never wanted to do was to get the humans involved. Mortal blood being spilled over Lucifer's corruption was out of the question, but it was all too late. The humans are at stake; for judgement, punishment, for everything.
To persuade his victory in the Rapture, Satan fathered many children. They are known as Antichrists. Their powers of darkness and hellfire awaken when they reach 6 years old. Each of them were marked with 666 on their foreheads.
In desperation, God rushed to appoint his priests, nuns, witnesses, a few children and animals as his solders. He also chose a child as the vessel for the holy son, Jesus Christ. He even trained some of his angels to fight alongside his chosen son or daughter as a server and protector.
But one thing went wrong. One powerful angel, a young girl by the name of Evangeline, unwittingly put herself, God and all of mankind at risk of losing the war. Evangeline fell to Earth. It had been an accident but the consequences were grave.
All the angels knew that once an Angel falls from Heaven, either as a sinner or just by a sheer accident like Evangeline had, would cause the brutality of the Rapture to heighten even more since on Earth, fallen angels were vulnerable to corruption and deception.
When she crash-landed onto Earth, Evangeline's wings vanished as a mark on her back with two crosses on their sides. Only if God won the war, could she go home.
Evangeline could be saved. That is, if no Antichrist or sinned human gets to her first.
