"I really enjoyed this book. It follows well, doesn't lag and the storyline is engaging. Sometimes I felt like I was missing something, like what her mother did that was so wrong or what was going on with her friends, but I haven't read her other books, so maybe that information was in those stories. Either way it was definitely worth the time to read. Thank you."

A dark romance with dark magic
"From the abstract and title I was expecting a werewolf/lycan story. It was not clear that the female lead is a witch and the plot lines incorporate significant amounts of dark magic. Athena Star is a good author who rights well. The drama in the relationship between the main characters is well built. But the magic was a bit much for me. I have a strong personal preference to avoid stories containing elements of necromancing, so I put this book down part way through. "
