My Mafia Madness 10 (Outrageous betrayals, new deadly situations, couple's growth and the foresight of the greatest battle)
"I'm making this comment as a totally positive observation, since I'm so deeply invested in the story and trying not to give too many spoilers: I'm extremely furious that a good deed from the couple turned against them, creating a new, dangerous opponent. Matteo's jealousy is one thing that keeps the story's suspense at its peak, but a new woman who craves Dante's attention and is willing to get rid of Alexa... this is outrageous! I'm saying this as a complementary remark, I swear, since each challenge and enemy makes the story anything but boring. As it is left to be believed, it's understandable that after years of horrors, the woman falls in love with her rescuer (getting an infatuation for the perfect man). However, it still stings deep to plot against Alexa, as if the couple doesn't have enough enemies already. This mess only gets dirtier and more breathtaking throughout the book, leaving me in complete awe as I went along. When the plot was over and we saw the result, I even screamed "wooow!!!" from sheer enthusiasm over this incredible outcome. I loved every line of it! 🤩 The non-stop action never fails to amaze me: new deadly situations presented with impeccable writting style, bombs, kidnappings, bloodbaths described with specific details, unexpected betrayals, new mindblowing plots that reveal unmistakenbly evil souls, threats that become lively, much-welcomed death-cheating superpowers with miraculous recoveries, Dante's henchmen's constant support with dreamlike skills, strong characters that represent the perfect action core, mindblowind twists, speechless alliances, amazing couple growth, sweet reunions and other dreadful feelings (I could almost feel my heart ache at that "zombie-like" demeanour), and the list is far from over. Besides the cruel and shameful setup that was planned for the couple, I deeply enjoyed their romantic night, a huge wave of heartwarming feelings coming to me as they had some enjoyable moments when they expressed their genuine adoration towards each other (far more than just the sensual way). Also, the continuation of their relationship is nothing less inspiring (more wisdom from both sides and a lot of pleasant surprises regarding improved behaviour); it feels like a well-deserved peaceful period before the strongest battle between the brothers will put an end to one of them. Although sometimes I feel angry with the newly arisen obstacles, I am super-excited to dive more into the series! The fact that I finished some of the books from this series in about 1-2 days during non-working time (and a few days on a usual program - full-time job and other responsibilities and activities) emphasises its engagement level and the truth that this series deserves wide recognition and a perfect score for this irreproachable storyline. 🤍"
