Chapter 11 : Shadows Within
Ava's mind reeled as she struggled to process the events of the past few days. Zephyr's betrayal, Lyra's attack, and Lupus's secrets all swirled together in a maddening vortex.
She found herself wandering the deserted streets, lost in thought. The moon overhead seemed to mock her, its cold, distant light illuminating the shadows within herself.
As she turned a corner, Ava stumbled upon a small, mysterious shop. The sign above the door read "Moonwhisper's Curios," and the windows were filled with a dazzling array of strange, exotic artifacts.
Ava felt an inexplicable pull, as if the shop was beckoning her inside. She pushed open the door, and a bell above it rang out, echoing through the silence.
The shop's interior was dimly lit, the air thick with the scent of incense and something else – something wild and untamed. Ava's heart pounded as she stepped deeper into the shop, her senses on high alert.
And then, she saw her. An old woman with eyes that seemed to see right through Ava, her presence both captivating and terrifying.
