chapter 1: Kamari Bisa

Blue ink touched the surface which mixed with the red paint bringing out the confidence and cool atmosphere to the painting; smile appeared on my face seeing the painting transformed into a beautiful family having lunch together.
“kiki, it is beautiful right?”
A white rabbit walked around it and sniffed the painting then looked at me.
“Thank you for the complement”
Kiki had always stay by me while I paint giving me encouragement, she is cute when talking. Communicate to animals is my ability, I can hear flowers talked too.
“Oh my flowers” I yelled out running leaving Kiki behind to looked after the painting. Hearing them screaming my name makes me happy, they had been waiting for their Kamari to come. I water the flowers while they sing, their voices are beautiful. Flowers don’t worry, they enjoy the moment; unlike us humans we worry about the future.
My eyes went to a small white dove flying toward me, "Sparrow” I called while she landed on my shoulder.
She whistle into my left ear, “the lists are out,” I said while Sparrow head- bodding and flew away.
Entering into Rosa Kim art academy had always been my dream, Rosa Kim is my inspiration, I can’t wait to see my name on the lists, “Flowers, wish me luck” I said and ran out of the compound. My heart is fill with joy and anticipation toward my result, last summer was not like this; my heart was filled with worry and anxiousness. This mean I will be on the list.
I paused seeing a huge crowd, the youngster are searching for their names, the parents are searching for their children names. My eyes caught a small brown skin girl at the front. How did she get there, that’s my little sister Koko. As for me, I can’t passed through this big crowd; I have to waited but my sister?
I don’t know how I managed to passed but I found myself in the front.
“Sister Kamari” Koko yelled in excitement, I nodded as the response to her greeting while I followed to checked my name on the list, my eyes scanned from the top and landed on the name that looked like mine but my smile faded away seeing, “middle class” at the side of the name. I shook my head not accepting the result; maybe my eyes are not sharp. I used both my index finger and eyes to scanned in each of the names making sure the result I saw was a mistake, my feeling failed me; my name is close to the same letter, “M” again.
Tears hush down immediately as I was pushed out of the crowd. I work so hard, practice all night, receive complement from the judges, wrote my exam well, This can’t be happening to me; second time in a roll. I lifted up my head to see myself inside our compound.
“Sister Kamari, am sad, you couldn’t make it into Rosa Kim art academy, it was your dream,” Koko said.
I wipe my tears seeing my father and older brother coming with grains. My sister and I bowed to them.
“Brother Yoo, I can see business was great today”
“Yes Koko, we made a huge amount of sale today, take these remaining grains inside”
“I heard the results are out, am sure my hardworking daughter will be on the list”
“Father, I couldn’t achieve my dream,” my voice broke.
“What happen daughter?” I can feel his hand on my shoulder.
“After all my effort my name was placed in the middle class, this happened last summer, it had happen again, I can’t attend Rosa Kim art academy” I cry out while my father hugged me.
