"Your way of writing really swooned me. But on the matters of the ending, it did not given me any delight as it was a bit rushed imo. nonetheless, I am eager to read more of your stories in the future. seriously I'll wait.lol."

Jasmine Winters

"The author's style of writing is incredibly captivating! It is easy to tell that she has worked hard on thinking of not only the characters through, but has a great understanding of how her (I assume her) world works. Very engaging!"

This story was great however....

"The work was overall well written. The plot was intriguing and kept me wanting to know what was going to happen. The characters were very realistic. My loyalty to one heir or the other was tossed around and I was kept uncertain as to the outcome. The madness was well done. In fact every single chapter was very well done except the last. Final chapter was more telling and almost no showing. It was rushed and I could not fully understand what had happened. It could be lengthened to clear this up. All in all, great story, final chapter needs some work."

Crown of Madness

"It truly lives up to it's title! Full of twist and turns, you'll honestly be surprised with every chapter! I quickly fell in love with the studious Doran and I felt the twisted personality of his twin Lucius. Truly awesome!"

The Most Worthy Story In the Competition!

"CE_Kinsella - this story is GREAT! Your style reminds me of George R.R. Martin, and thats a huge compliment coming from me, trust me! This story kept me captivated throughout the whole chapter, as your talent for description and emotions shone the entire time. To my mind, this is the MOST WORTHY story entered in the EPIC WORLDS comp that I've read, and I've read all the top five and more. Well done with your craft - you surely have shown that you know how to write a compelling narrative, with interesting characters and interactions. And as always, I see @JoshuaGrasso and I agree with our reviews! The smallest criticism, and it is small: I thought the Queen could have been written with better, more cutting and intelligent remarks, just to emphasise that shes right and the King is wrong. Her lines felt slightly under-done to me. Apart from that - this story is just EXCELLENT!"

An Elegant, Artistic Drama

"According to this author's profile, she (?) is only 19, which is astounding. I'm twice her age and can only boast prose this elegant on my best days. And "elegance" is the key word here: this is a story that feels like a ritual, as its prose is slow and smooth, rich with details and slow to tease out the plot. The characters seem almost like dancers, moving effortlessly through the Gothic scenery of the stage, enacting some age-old drama for the reader. In some ways, this story's greatest strength can also be seen as a slight (but only slight) weakness: it seems like a museum piece, beautiful but cold, without a sense that these characters are truly alive--but still dramatic for all that. I didn't feel connected to any of the characters, but I'm not sure that's the point: like Tolkein's non-Hobbit characters, you aren't supposed to see them as human, per se, but as dramatic recreations of myth. So, too, with this story, where the characters resemble humans but aren't quite us. However, I much prefer this to fantasy that sounds like modern-day teenagers running through the woods dropping slang with every axe blow. This is stylized and elegant, not vitally alive, but who says fantasy needs to always be about 'us'? I've only read the first 3 chapters, so I look forward to exploring the rest to see where the author takes us. It's an impressive story that very few writers could pull off in this manner, and for a 19 year=old, it's almost spooky. When she's 29 she'll rule the world! :)"
