Lighthearted adventures in magic

"This is enormous fun; a clever mix of arcane magic and humour, perfect for youth of all ages. The characters are fully loaded with wands, enthusiasm and disarming quips. There are a lot of laughs and a decent level of peril. It's quite a short story. Perhaps in time, the author might develop the characters more so we grow to love them more, adding some gritty backstory to their biting, acerbic comments and devil-may-care attitudes. The baddies could also do with more context and motive, but for now, this is an entertaining and well written romp in a Potteresque world. I see no reason why this shouldn't stretch to a trilogy, or maybe more!"
