Dervish

: "The Dervish Within the Muslim"

Alḥamdulillāh.

O hearts that seek, O eyes that weep, O souls that walk—

Do you not see?

The path of the dervish is not far.

It is not locked away in distant lands or secret gatherings.

It is in the heart of every Muslim who remembers Allah with love.

You cry when your heart is broken—but do you not know?

Allah is closest to the broken-hearted.

Why cry when He draws near through pain?

Your heartbreak is not a sign of weakness,

but a doorway to Divine presence.

You suffer, and you weep, and you strive.

And then you pray.

You whisper His Name.

You walk through this dunya with your heart turned toward the Akhirah.

You endure the fire of heartbreak, but you still say:

“I am Yours, Ya Allah.”

This is sulūk.

And if you are on sulūk, then you are a sālik.

And if you are a sālik in love with the Prophet ﷺ and yearning for Haqq,

then know: you are already a dervish.

To be a dervish is not to be special.

It is to be surrendered.

To follow the Prophet ﷺ not just in outward Sunnah,

but to walk his inner path of tears, patience, mercy, and love for the Divine.

So do not wait for robes or titles.

Do not look for acceptance from others.

Your tears, your zikr, your struggle, your love—

these are your badge.

We Muslims are already dervishes…

If only we realized.

Wa alḥamdulillāhi rabbil-ʿālamīn.
