"I chanced across this story on the recently updated list and opened it on a whim even though I don’t generally find the billionaire trope very convincing. But this was so good! The billionaire was a deeply human character whose money was almost the least important thing about his life, a lesson he learns over the course of the story. The love is sweet, the characters feel incredibly vivid and real, there’s suspense and drama and sweet love. The descriptive writing style makes the reader feel the Southern setting in an incredibly tangible way. I love the author’s frequent use of analogies and comparisons in her descriptions. Some of the writing is laugh out loud funny too. This story is like a tall glass of cool sweet tea- refreshing and sweet and totally hits the spot!"

"I have enjoyed reading this story thus far. I have to admit I was getting to the point where I didn’t want to read further, because of course something horrible was going to happen to end their relationship. Then it’s like restarting the story, with a different beginning where the main characters are fighting each other until something horrible happens again to bring them finally to a happy ending. It may still happen but I loved this twist where they are going to try to resolve the issue, I hope anyway. "
