Killing was something that'd always ran in Daron's family. Brought up in a family of hitmen and women, his future was already sealed once his parents thought he was ready to take it on. It was a secret that was hard to keep from his tomboy best friend Tiffani, but when every job was over he always made sure he made it back home safely just to see her face again. It was good until it wasn't. He left town for a job after promising to talk about being more than friends when he returned. He never came back. For 6 years he was presumed dead. There may be some truth to that. When Daron finds his way home back to his family and friends, he comes back to find out that Tiffani is involved with another man and has a child. A child she's been unable to get attached to because he's every bit of his father. Is that the reason or is it the alcohol problem she developed when her best friend fell off the face of the earth? Is it the constant worry that the loan shark she owes will send someone after them at any time? Daron has fought to keep the hitman side of him hidden and keep the new side of him suppressed. However, when it comes to protecting the woman he's still in love with, he'll not only have to give in to both sides to protect her but also himself when the reason he never came home comes to town in search of him and in search of fresh blood.
