"What an emotional rollercoaster ride The Darkness Consumes is, it is well written, interesting, intense, heartbreaking and very addictive. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, the characters are very likeable and my heart was broken throughout the story for them and what they were going through and dealing with mentally. Viv and Ash are such well written characters, their journey throughout the story feels real, from their trauma to their friendship and support for each other. Congratulations to the author for writing this amazing story. Highly recommend this book to everyone, definitely a five star book.❤️💔"

"I LOVE psychological drama especially with BL. It's probably my fav genre and I read quite a bit. I'm really enjoying this story a lot. You even gave a good surprise that I didn't see coming until the final red herring! I like Viv's inner dialogue and his back-and-forth banter with Ash when things get a little too dark. I have trouble with pronouns too...it's so embarrassing! Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work :)"

"Hey! I always have this constant urge to find a good psychological story—something raw, haunting, and beautiful—and The Darkness Consumes fits that perfectly. I’m hoping the upcoming chapters keep the same depth, because what you’ve written so far is incredibly gripping. I loved reading your descriptions, especially the way you handled Viv’s inner conflicts and emotional chaos. The way you expressed his schizophrenia and turmoil was chilling—it hit deep. Not everyone may relate to it, but I did. And I believe many readers, in one way or another, will find something familiar in his pain, too. It was haunting, and that emotional shock? It reached me. Like—Viv’s breakdowns became mine, and that’s a real testament to your writing. Honestly, I struggle to cry when reading, but somewhere in the middle of your story… I did. And thank you for that. It helped in ways I wasn’t expecting. Your characters are written so well, with real care and layers. Ash and Viv—they’re deep as hell. My favorite is Viv. I even loved his “asshole” behavior because you showed where it was coming from—his past, his pain, his confusion, and that inner monster of his. You made it all make sense. I felt him. I still do. I got emotionally attached to your story because of your themes: depression, mental health, self-harm, ignorance, life inside the ward, and the raw struggles of just existing. All of it was delivered in a way that didn’t feel forced or exaggerated—it just felt real. And okay, last thing: I’m not usually a fan of BL as a genre, mainly because I’ve rarely found stories that feel authentic or not overly dramatic. But yours? It is one of the rare ones. The slow build-up between Ash and Viv felt believable, natural, and very human. It’s one of the reasons I’m loving this story so much. Thank you for writing this. That’s it for my yapping session.
