Who can detect the secrets written in the heart?

"All Eliana Sinclair ever wanted in her life was to be left alone. Insecure despite her dark-skinned beauty, picked on constantly by a mother who doesn't love her, Eliana finally sinks to her lowest when she tries to seduce Armando. Armando himself is somewhat socially awkward. "I know he'll understand and want me," Eliana assures herself. But he rejects her too, in the most devastating way. "Are you crazy?" he asks her. "I can never love someone like you!" The years march on, and Eliana eventually becomes a professional spy for the CIA. She is no longer the insecure teen she once was in high school, but a lithe, athletic and sensual woman, capable of seducing almost any man she wants, while quietly slipping a dagger into their throat. Meanwhile Armando is still just ...Armando. But that doesn't mean he has forgotten Eliana and now he wants her more than ever. But how does one undo a mistake from the past? How can he force the almost unattainable Elinia to at long last be his? A fascinating novel which packs a lot of heartbreak with heat. Author Rihanna knows how to build sympathy for her protagonist Eliana. You feel for her while she is rejected and treated poorly by almost everyone she meets ...until it's time for sweet revenge. I must admit I don't like Armando too much yet, but I'm only on Chapter Eight so far. I hope Eliana eventually tears his heart out over his cruel treatment of her. At any rate this is an enjoyable novel, if you like your revenge served scorching hot!"
