Chapter 1: Hans' Recognition
It has been twenty years since the defeat of the Dark Dragon. Hans Rotwood had been hired as a leader of the Global Occult Coalition. The GOC base was located in the heart of New York City. Hans was given a grand tour of the entire facility with his faithful assistant Carter England. Carter had heard of Hans’ exploits but also with the American Dragon known as Jake Long.
“Ah yes, Jake we are very familiar with his antics we have been tracking magical creatures ourselves” said Carter.
“Really?” asked Hans.
“Yes, but Jake isn’t going to be the subject of the matter for today” said Carter, “the Global Occult Coalition has learned that a known song writer and blue troll – Grimnir is going to arrive from all the way from Seattle, Washington to NYC.”
“Wait, why would the GOC care more about this troll that sings than let’s say Jake Long?” asked Hans.
“Well, since you have an expert background on terms of tracking magical creatures we need your expertise to hunt him down” said Carter, “you see, Grimnir has a sexual relationship with a human female known as Reese Guerra. She is scheduled to join Grimnir on his tour of NYC.”
Hans gasped with the shocking details as Carter handed him over the file from Seattle. He couldn’t believe that a human female would fall under his spell.
“She must have been tricked!” cried Hans.
“That’s what the locals thought too” said Carter, “but apparently there is some odd indigenous lore to all of this.”
“What do you mean by lore?” asked Hans.
“Well, the local indigenous reservation harbored Grimnir and Reese from a militia group that tried to harass them” said Carter, “and then some crazy reality television show host appeared luring them away.”
“Uh, that’s just typical” sighed Hans.
But while Hans was being providing details by Carter, the scene switches to Luong Lao Shi’s shop. Though Luong had long passed away, he was still advising Jake in the form of a spirit. Jake’s wife Rose operated the shop with Jonathan and Susan Long since Lao Shi’s passing. Fu Dog was still around and kicking always giving advice and being the comic relief.
“So, he’s coming to NYC?” asked Fu as he was busy on his cellphone.
Fu could tell this was about Grimnir coming to NYC, Grimnir was rather a controversial figure to defend even with his sexual relationship with Reese. Fu was well aware of everything.
“Who was that on the phone?” asked Rose.
“Oh, that was Reese, Grimnir’s main click” laughed Fu, “she states she will be arriving in a few days to give a tour of NYC with Grimnir.”
“What the heck is a Grimnir?” asked Jonathan.
“He’s a musical troll that is touring New York City, and apparently he has heard of the American Dragon is in town willing to defend all magical creatures” added Fu.
“I don’t know if Jake will like to defend Grimnir” said Susan.
Susan also knew of the controversial blue troll. She was rather worried for Jake’s own safety. A few moments later, Jake arrived with his sister Haley. Jake was just finishing up getting his Masters Degree in Business while Haley was just starting college as in an Engineer program.
