Chapter 1. Zazulianna
Its about 5:30 pm now. I should get ready for my walk I take everyday. Its been a long day. And as I put my earbuds in and start my Playlist, I start to think about everything. Its the same old story. This planet is awful, I want off of it, but I can't leave, because I made a stupid promise to my brother, I still can't believe he left me, picked his life over mine, then told me to enjoy my life. I have no one, no family, and the friends I made don't know me, I can't rely on them like I do with my brother. Well, did, with my brother, since he left me, on this disgusting toxic planet with nothing but a stuffed bear and a necklace to remind me of my mother and himself. Thankfully, my father went to jail before my brother left, so im truly on my own. Its amazing, I can do whatever I want, except die. I wish I could run away to a place of people with love. And find a man who loves and respects me, but doesn't use me like in my past relationship. We don't talk about that zazula, move on. He is not to be mentioned anymore, hes where he belongs, for now. Move on zazula, now. Wait what is that? I take my earbuds out and walk off the path in the woods to see what this glowing light is. Ive never seen something like this before. Do I.... walk away..? No, its still light out, I can get close enough to at least see what it is. I head deeper into the woods and the light gets brighter, however; I still can't figure out what it is, as I get close, the light suddenly disappears, when I look around to try to find it again, I slip and fall, hitting my head and passing out. While out cold in the middle of the woods, I have an odd dream. Its my mom, she's talking to me, I am unable to hear and understand her, and she looks all blurry, but once my eyes start to focus and can also start to understand what she is saying. " Show love to those who deserve it, and mercy to those who don't." what? "Don't let anyone manipulate your thoughts and feelings." Why is she saying all of this? "Never, and I mean never let anyone make you believe you're nothing, or just something. You are everything." At this point im worried i've died. "mom, why are you saying all of this, what is happening?" I ask not really expected an actual response because, well I hope, this is a dream. "And don't forgot who you are." before I can even get another word out, she starts to go blurry again, and she says something I couldn't quite hear because her voice had faded away so quickly. I slowly come out of that dream and wake up, I slowly open my eyes and take a moment to understand what just happened, then I actually look around and realize im not in the parks forest anymore, the sky looks different, like a light sunset pink, the trees are taller and more vibrant, I hear many different birds all around me with all different kinds of calls, I must have hit my head really hard. I close my eyes, then open them again, while slowly picking myself up, once im on my feet. I completely open my eyes to look around, only to find the most beautiful and breathtaking view i've ever seen, I had no idea our earth could be so incredible, its too beautiful, this can't possibly be some place on earth, it's just not possible. As I look around more, I see this absolutely humongous castle in the distance with a rather large town surrounding it. It doesn't even look real anymore, I must still be dreaming, how else would this be possible. Then suddenly, I hear a noise, I turn to my right just a little and look to see whats over there, I hear... a mans voice? This doesn't feel like a dream, but it must be. Finally I see the mysterious figure more clearly, I don't know what to say, and my head still hurts, he calls out "are you alright dear? You look ill?" No im not alright what is happening? I finally get my thoughts together and say "I'm alright, just a little confused and my head really hurts." Still confused where I am. He's closer now and I can see him more clearly, hes tall and has dark long hair, his eyes shine bright green like the trees around us, he had broad shoulders and could clearly destroy anyone who bothered him, his clothing are what threw my off, hes dressed up, like in very old fashioned clothing you'd see in historical pictures. Then I finally see it, his ears. They're pointed... like an... elf? "oh my lord where am I and why do you look like that?" well thats not what I should have said. But too late now. He chuckles. "it's ok, im gonna help you. Do you trust me?" what? Who even asks a stranger that? "why on earth would I trust you? Who even are you, and why do you look like that? And where am I?" He moves a little closer and says. "well, good thing we're not on earth." What... he continues "my name is Eric, by the way. I look like this because we haven't advanced like humans have, and you're in a different place dear, you're no longer on earth, and you're here for a reason, now if you could come with me back where I live I can explain everything." I have no words, I stare at him for a second then ask "if I go with you, will you keep me safe?" he comes even closer now and says "I promise you with my life, I will protect you at all costs and put your life before anyone else's." that sounded like a proposal, but then again im staring at a man with pointy ears, the smart thing to do is run away and scream, but since I clearly dont value my life, I believe him and say i'll follow him then.
