Chapter 1: California in Focus

It had been one year since the Iron Patriot Revolution at the hands of the Iron Patriot Bastion's own junta. The year was 2038 where the Plebeian Left Society thought they were going to win the upcoming general election with their candidate -- Ms. Valeria Pardo, a controversial Congresswoman who managed to untie the Plebian Left and the Common Good Association forces to oust the Stars and Stripes Party from power. However, something happened -- a repeat of history -- much like the Fall of the Roman Republic. The Fall of the American Constitutional Republic was ever so terrible.

One particular player who managed to rise through the ranks of the junta was a man named Asher Sacks. Asher had long detested the riots promoted by the socialists and Communists with major cities around the coastal regions. The Stars and Stripes Presidencies did very little to stop their onslaught and no one in the Plebeian Left or Common Good Association circles were ever arrested. Asher was tasked in reviving California with the newly formed Americana Party that had risen through the ashes of the old two-party system. Asher was busy in what formerly use to be the California Governor's office. Soldiers stationed outside did their best to monitor any protests by the civilians.

"Give me a status report on the protests," said Asher on the phone with one of the colonels.

Colonel Jordan King controlled much of the former Sacramento police now under the Iron Patriot Bastion rule. It was the same sort of setting throughout the major cities in California.

"Everything has quiet down, crowds have dispersed," said Colonel Jordan.

"Excellent keep up the good work soldier," said Asher.

Asher received an urgent memo from the junta in Washington DC -- apparently a new party known as the Roma Manifest Destiny Party wanted to expand the Iron Patriot Bastion's junta's influence in other parts of the globe. Something that they couldn't afford to do since the collapse of the Federal government. Mexico was on the list -- the Mexican government had closed its borders with all territories of the United Iron Patriot Republic.

"There are reports from San Diego, California of a military force preparing for an invasion of Mexico," remarked Bill Fisk a junta liasion.

Asher understood the message very well, he could tell this was going to be a major issue that needed to be crushed first.

"I'll go speak with the head of the militia group," said Asher.

And just to think they were all united one year ago when it came to opposing being ruled over Communists and socialists. Dealing with the right-wing divide was another issue that the junta knew they needed to address sooner rather than later. Asher soon packed up his equipment and soon headed out.

"Head out boss?" asked a soldier.

"Yes, on assignment to San Diego, California," said Asher.

"Good luck sir," said the soldier.

Asher smiled as he placed on his signature Iron Patriot Bastion helmet and headed out. After passing a few checkpoints he headed to Sacramento International Airport was still in operational since the short civil war ended. From there he boarded a plane and headed towards San Diego. It would be some hours before he would arrive.
