This novel was written not just to frighten, but to reveal the most complex aspects of human nature when faced with ultimate danger and when the survival of oneself is weighed against the survival of others.
“Bermuda Triangle: The Story of Those Left Behind” is a work of fiction drawn from the real fears of humankind fear of loss, of betrayal, of broken trust, and most of all, the gradual collapse of humanity in the face of an unexplainable force.
Within this novel, I chose to use the voice of Jose a quiet yet steadfast character as the main narrator. Through his eyes, emotions, and suffering, we gain a closer glimpse into the true form of the nightmare they were trapped in. A nightmare that wasn’t just about the monsters lurking around them, but also the monsters hiding within each of them.
This is not a simple horror story. It is a journey of conscience, a stripping away of the masks of identity, and a test of how much one is willing to sacrifice for others. In each chapter, I hope you’ll feel the weight of their decisions, the bitterness of their failures, and the hope they desperately reach for even in the midst of darkness.
Though this is a work of fiction, the emotions portrayed are real emotions anyone may experience in the midst of an extreme crisis.
