Prologue
Once upon a time, in a distant land known as Gyfareddol, a vibrant tapestry of life flourished beneath the shimmering sun. This enchanting realm, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and diverse wildlife, attracted dreamers and adventurers from every corner of the world. Here, mythical beings danced in the moonlight, and many of the native-born citizens possessed extraordinary abilities, harnessing their gifts to uplift their fellow countrymen and cultivate a society brimming with prosperity and freedom.
These remarkable individuals were revered as national treasures, celebrated for their talents that wove a rich fabric of harmony throughout Gyfareddol. But as the saying goes, not all that glitters is gold. Amidst this idyllic existence, a shadow began to loom. A faction of the gifted, driven by greed and ambition, grew restless. They believed their powers rendered them superior, and in their quest for dominance, they turned to dark magic.
Forming a clandestine guild, they enslaved the mystical creatures of the land, bending them to their will with enchantments and threats. Their ambitions turned sinister, as they plotted a coup to seize control of Gyfareddol, intent on eliminating or subjugating anyone who dared to resist their sinister magic.
Yet, hope still flickered in the hearts of the brave. The valiant King of Gyfareddol, alongside his band of noble knights, rose to the challenge and confronted the forces of darkness with unwavering courage. The ensuing battle was fierce and tumultuous, leaving scars etched deep within the land and its people. Though the forces of evil were ultimately vanquished, the war had sown seeds of fear and disillusionment among the populace. No longer did they view magic as a blessing; instead, it became a symbol of betrayal and destruction.
In the wake of the conflict, Gyfareddol transformed from a thriving haven into a desolate expanse of suspicion and mistrust. The vibrant colors of its culture faded into shades of gray, as anyone deemed different faced scorn and hostility. The once-bustling streets, once alive with laughter and joy, grew eerily silent as foreign travelers turned away, seeking refuge in more accepting lands.
The magical beings, once celebrated, were now hunted and persecuted, retreating into the shadows to escape the wrath of a frightened populace. As the magic that had once coursed through the veins of Gyfareddol waned, so too did the land’s vitality. Whispers of despair echoed through the barren fields, with only a few daring to suggest that the absence of magic was the true source of their suffering.
Yet, in the flickering glow of evening fires and the hushed corners of dimly lit alehouses, stories began to emerge… tales of a vibrant, enchanted land where harmony reigned and magic thrived. Occasionally, a brave soul would voice a daring thought: perhaps the return of magic was the key to rekindling the spirit of Gyfareddol. Though fear and hatred still gripped many, those who harbored even a whisper of magic or a belief in its potential kept their secrets close, waiting for the day when the tides might turn.
The winds of change were stirring, and the heart of Gyfareddol still beat beneath the surface of despair. The question lingered in the air: could magic once again rise to illuminate the land, or would it remain a forgotten dream lost to the shadows? The adventure was far from over, and destiny awaited those brave enough to seek it.

“A prophecy? About what? Tell me about it,” Princess Eowen of Gyfareddol looks at her old teacher Master Orin.
He closes his eye and speak in a whispering voice:
“Six scions of peace will come
Traveling from near and far
To heal the breach, and save the land
One will be forever lost
One will show his colours true
And yet another will never be the same
A soul of fire will come to lead them all
And a gentle spirit to bind them
A fighter strong to shield them
And magic hands to guide them
A heart so true to break the curse
And a darkness there to find them
“I am not sure I understand,” Eowen says feeling confused.
The old man grabs her hand. “A quest… you have to gather five others and go on a quest to save the tree”.
