In typical stories, we often expect the protagonist to be attractive, hot, sexy and all. But in your story---a writer who has physical difficulties really make it stand out. For those of you who are fluent in Philippine's language , I hope you can get the real tone of the whole story. Judging the parts where you have written in English I can say that with a bit of polishing—especially in phrasing and consistency—it could be even stronger.
