Summary

He has always played it safe — strict routines, quiet nights, no complications. But when stranger named Lucas starts showing up at his favorite bar, Eli's carefully built walls begin to crack. The Bar

The city lights blurred through the rain-speckled window of The Velvet Room, the bar that had become his nightly refuge.

The low hum of jazzy beats mixed with murmurs and laughter, creating an atmosphere of warmth amidst the chilly April evening.

Eli adjusted his leather jacket and took a slow sip from his whiskey glass.

The amber liquid burned down his throat, steadying the nervous flutter in his chest.

After another long day at the design firm, this was his escape — a place where he could shed the constraints of his neat.

Across the room, near the back corner where the shadows deepened, Eli noticed him again.

The stranger was leaning casually against the bar, his dark hair tousled just so, eyes reflecting the soft amber glow of the hanging lights.

There was something magnetic about him — something that made Eli’s pulse quicken every time their gazes met.

Tonight was the third time this week.

The man caught Eli staring and gave a small, crooked smile before raising his glass in a silent toast.

Eli hesitated, then returned the gesture, fingers grazing the rim of his glass.

Minutes later, Eli found himself walking toward the bar, drawn by an invisible thread.

“Hey,” the stranger said, his voice smooth but with a playful edge.

“You’re here again.”Eli chuckled nervously. “Seems like it.”

They exchanged names — Lucas, an actor between gigs, full of charm and wit, contrasting with Eli’s more reserved nature.

Their conversation was light but charged, each word a brushstroke painting a scene filled with unspoken promises.

Lucas leaned in, voice dropping to a near whisper. “You’re staring again.”

Eli’s breath hitched. “I can’t help it.”

The space between them shrank, the buzz of the bar fading into the background.

Their hands brushed, sending a spark up Eli’s arm.

The night was just beginning.
