Chapter 1

We all have the desire to see something wonderful in our lives, something that will make you stop and say "Oh my God! That was amazing! Unbelievable!"

As a child, I got up every morning, went to school, excelled in my studies, played with my friends and had chores. I was in choir, the drama club, on the school newspaper.

As a teen, I hung out with my friends, danced to my favorite songs, giggled over the boys and even went on dates, school dances, proms and graduated.

As a young adult, I went to work, got my own place, fell in love and got married. I have two of the most loving and kindest sons, that I dote over every day, even though they are now grown and have families of their own.

I have five of the most amazing grandchildren that I spoil to the point of no return. I lost the love of my life, the one and only man to hold my heart. The man that will hold my heart for all eternity.

I have struggled with many illnesses, battling and defeating cancer twice. I have been fortunate enough to go on three cruises, I've been to Scotland and walked the Highlands, walked the wall of China and floated through the canals of Venice to the beautiful serenades of the Gondoliers.

I have been skydiving and piloted a hand glider, swam with sharks and almost got pulled over board by a Marlin while deep sea fishing.

I have experienced multiple lifetimes in my years with people I love and people who love me. I have never been sad or lonely.

But, what I have never done, is see my glorious husband's face. I have never seen the beautiful smiles of my children or grandchildren.

I have never seen the warm sunlight that shines down on me or the sparkling stars that shine at night. I've never seen the beautiful rainbow of flowers around me or the green grass that I love to feel beneath my feet.

I have never looked up and seen the light filtering between the leaves and branches of the trees that shade me. I have never seen the clear blue skies or the dark stormy clouds that bring the rain.

I have never seen the colorful plumage of the birds that chirp happily in my yard or the green eyes of my lovey old cat that nestles next to me and purrs non-stop. I have never seen a snow capped mountain or the blue of the deep sea.

But I have enjoyed so very much in my life, with or without my sight, I have known love, and that is a color all of its own.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...

TopazHorizon: What a sweet love story! I loved all the little stories from their childhood and teenhood. It really gave depth to their very fast love story. It made sense! I love how their parents were part of the story, too. I love how Theo is so gentle with her, like she's fragile... And yet so bossy in bed hah...
