Profound, moving, nostalgic

"I found this poem very moving. The earlier stanzas gave a profound sense of nostalgia. The last few stanzas are beautiful and heartbreaking. The speaker has done a lot in their life. I was confused about the speaker being blind, but having piloted a plane. I get the strong sense that the speaker is also the poet; if so, are you blind, Marremom? But then, how do you work your way around Inkitt? I have to admit, although I found the poem very moving, I am also very confused. As you have not posted poetry before, I assume you are new to writing poetry. This is a brilliant start! Improving at poetry is a long process that involves reading hundreds of poems. I started with D. H. Lawrence, whom I found far more accessible than any of the other famous poets. Keep up the good work, Marremom! 😊 "
