Three Weeks and An Hour

Summary

Freedom. A word that we all chase. And so are chasing Aarvi and David. Aarvi Dutta, a 29-year-old Bengali, has lived her life according to others' expectations so far. She took up a job she doesn’t enjoy, tolerated a lot of crap from an undeserving ex, and tried to be the “ideal daughter” until she couldn’t anymore. She takes a leap of faith and quits her job to find herself. As a result? The world turned against her, including her mother. Aarvi is on her way to London for a month-long vacation to just be by herself, learning to navigate life all over again. Meeting a guy isn’t even the last thing she has on her list, yet with him, she feels seen. Only problem? She is in London for just three weeks. How could she want this? Want him? David Carlsen, a 30-year-old Norwegian whose bloodline has spent enough generations in London to see themselves as one among the English. The heir of a fifty-billion-dollar family business, but doesn’t want to do anything with it. He dreams of opening his restaurant, but the reins of his life still seem to be in his father’s hands, and this restaurant can solve all his problems. But it doesn’t seem to be happening soon, as he loses his fifth deal on a land he wanted. His life appears to be a disaster that he desperately wants to fix as soon as possible. Yet, when he’s with her, he forgets about his problems. Only problem? She is leaving in three weeks, and he doesn’t know how to stop her. Will they find Aarvi learn to be okay all by herself after all these years of having people by her side? Will David find a way to take back his life from his father and do what his heart wants? More importantly, will David and Aarvi find their way to each other amidst all this chaos? Or does destiny have different plans?

Author's Note

Hey guys! Hope all of you are doing well. Inkitt is a new platform that I came across a few days ago, and I have heard so much about the audience here, so I had to try it for myself.

I’m here with a new love story. I hope it takes over your heart and makes you swoon over Aarvi and David just like I’m swooning over them as I write their story.

This is a story between an Indian, Bangali girl and a Norwegian, London boy. I should not tell you this, but the inspiration is taken from real life. Word that you should note: “inspiration.” Something I have witnessed that sparked the idea.

The future of this story is now in your hands. I hope you love it enought to shower this one with much love and support. See you guys soon for the actual chapters. Love you guys so much. <3

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
