Chapter 1
In the land of Everville, there were two lovely kids called Sarah and Paul. Paul is the calm, cheeky one than Sarah but they loved to play hide and seek. "Okay kids, let's play hide and seek." Sarah said. Paul goes to hide, then Sarah closes her eyes.
"Ready or not, here I come." says Sarah. Playful music plays.
"I don't think I see him." Sarah says. "Can you find him?" A frog makes a sound. A shrub shakes. "His probably over there." She says. She looks into the shrub and a rabbit literally hops out.
Sarah laughs. "My goodness, I thought it was Paul." She skips into the garden and finally sees Paul hiding behind a tree. She goes closer.
"Found you." Sarah says. "You've finally found me." Paul says, grinning. They both go home to eat lunch.
After lunch, the sun began to shine more brightly, casting golden rays across the hills of Everville. Sarah and Paul sat on the porch sipping fruit juice, their feet swinging as they watched butterflies dance around the flowers. "Let's build a fort next!" Sarah said excitedly. Paul nodded, already imagining how tall their fort could be. They grabbed blankets, sticks, and pillows from inside and hurried to the backyard, giggling with every step.
As they worked together, the fort began to take shape beneath the old oak tree. "This will be our secret hideout," Paul whispered, tying a scarf to a branch as a flag. "And no grown-ups allowed," Sarah added with a giggle. They crawled inside their cozy fort, and for a moment, everything felt magical. The wind rustled through the trees, almost like it was whispering a story only they could hear.
Suddenly, a soft "thud" came from behind the fort. Sarah and Paul peeked outside to see a small, glowing stone lying in the grass. "Where did that come from?" Sarah asked, her eyes wide. Paul picked it up carefully. It was warm and shimmered with tiny sparkles. As soon as he touched it, a faint humming sound filled the air. "I think... it's magic," Paul whispered.
The moment he said that, the stone began to glow brighter, and a gentle breeze swirled around them. "Whoa!" Sarah cried as leaves began to rise and spin in the air. A voice echoed from the stone: "The path to the Whispering Woods awaits those pure of heart." The kids stared at each other, their mouths open in awe. "Should we go?" Sarah asked, her heart pounding with excitement. Paul grinned. "Of course."
With the glowing stone lighting their way, they set off, hand in hand, toward the edge of the garden. The world around them seemed to change—flowers whispered secrets, and the wind hummed little songs. Everville had always been full of wonder, but today felt different. Today, their little game had turned into the start of a great adventure.
