"Your writing is great, as always. I didn't want to put the book down; it was really interesting and managed to piss me off at the same time. I know you said my opinion "will" change by the end, but I doubt it. I hate Trym's mom, his stepdad, and everyone on that island. The people on the island never take him seriously, and the only unsuperficial one is Ida, and even then, she's annoying, too. Trym's mom is a bitch for signing him up like that, and Knut is a nut for going along with it. I really hope everything is explained later so I can stop hating everyone. Despite that, I love the book Mama Hitsy 🥰"

"I am in love with your writing style, Hitsy. I have read both versions and this one is better for sure. Trym’s character is so good, I absolutely love it. His reactions are so up to the mark. His response to all the reality show thing was so hilarious yet I felt bad for him too😂😂. Poor guy for sure. Side characters are also cool 😎 and I would recommend this story to everyone! Great job🩶🩶"

Charming, funny, and heartwarming
"Hitsy has written such a delightful story here! Trym is a 17 year old Norwegian high school student, who seems to have some neurdivergent characteristics, with few friends and a gaming obsession. Much to his shock his mother signs him up to be on a reality t.v. show, and he is obligated to go to an island and compete for a prize on national t.v.. He is totally out of his depth, struggles to fit in with the other young contestants, and fears that this will be the most miserable experience of his life. But... he manages to overcome so much, and it is a joy to watch him change and develop and grow through the experience. There are unexpected twists, a little hint of magical destiny, an adorable romance, and so much laugh-out-loud humor! This is really a great story, and I enjoyed every minute of it! "

"I could not believe my eyes when I started this book, and this new version became my own little paradise to savor because I was so thrilled to read about all of the hysterical moments with a fresh perspective! Once again, the nuances and sarcastic charm for every unique character (especially Trym) always has me on the edge of my seat when the author puts the BEST cliffhangers for more 'drama' to unravel. This may be more of a preference, but I am so happy with how the storytelling and different character point of views were portrayed to enhance the rich plot (for example with reincarnations of a loved one and prophetic dreams that brought the twin souls together). I also cannot forget about family and friend dynamics 🤣💕 This story captured it all from humor, romance, MAGIC, suspense, DRAMA, emotional surges, and lots of discovery (which is left for fate!) I highly recommend reading this and I am so excited that there is TWO MORE BOOKS!!"

"Trym never expected much in his seventeen year old life, except to reign as Video Game King in his four family household, which includes mother, stepfather and his somewhat annoying, younger brother Lars. Imagine Trym’s surprise when he realizes his mother has auditioned him to become a contestant in the hit television game show, ‘Reality Island’ where millions are up for grabs and privacy becomes a thing of the past. How dare she do this to him without his permission? Trym is rather introverted and does not like the idea of a television camera poking at his face as he brushes his teeth, takes a shower and does other ‘unmentionables’ in the bathroom, all for the sake of other people’s entertainment. Was there any way to escape this nightmare? But as Trym begins to mingle with the other contestants on the island—especially a spirited, blonde-haired beauty named Ida—he starts to wonder if the real prize isn’t the millions of dollars at stake. Maybe, just maybe, the greatest reward of all could be winning Ida’s heart. Wow, I gotta tell you I love this novel. Love, love it. It's so funny too because normally I'm not into light-hearted, hopeful romance tales. Usually I prefer dark, twisty werewolf fantasies. It's the genre I like to read and write in. But something about this particular novel touched my heart, and I've come to care about the characters as if they were real people. It's amazing to me that author Hitsy is not a native English speaker, her command of it is incredible. Anyway enough of the gushing. This is an excellent book and is my current favorite on Inkitt. "

"i’ve always loved the plot of this book and now, reading it in first person has given it a new light.. and a higher element of sass. Trym is your average teenage boy; hours at a time, locked away in his “oasis” (his bedroom, with clothes from two weeks ago spread across the floor) staring at a screen like he needed its harsh light to survive (which, he probably did for a while). annoying little brother? check. a mom who is “all up in his business”? check. and honestly? life was good. that was, until, Reality Island (ominous music rises in the background). now Trym needs to come off as charismatic rather than… himself. and, to really test his patience, is Oscar (edit:: and even… a coffee?). i’m not even going to go there. what will happen next? nobody really knows but i’m ready to find out. EDIT:: now that Hitsy has finished Stuck In Reality (v2)(double edit:: wait no v3– this is the third version of this book!!) i can quite honestly say *you* *need* *to* *read* *this* *book*!!!!!! now! "
