Important Authorโs Note
Hey, my sweet chaotic book fam! ๐คโ๐ผ
Cue dramatic music
This book is part of a series; it would mark (Book #5), but it can 100% be read as a standalone.
Our main characters were deliciously complicated side characters in my previous book, "Blue Ribbon."
You don't have to read it first, unless you're the kind of person who likes to hunt for origin stories and soft flashbacks (in which case, I got you, just message me, I'll tell you where to find their scenes).
Now! This book picks up five months after their second, chaotic encounter.
Chapter One is actually the bonus chapter from Blue Ribbon, so if you've read that already, congrats! You're ahead of the mess.
*clears throat* Let's talk about them, though.
These two?
They're not your healthy, healing, boundaries-and-therapy couple.
They're messy. They're toxic. They're a full-blown red flag factory.
Their love is destructive, obsessive, and far from aspirational, and I want to be very clear:
โ๏ธI do not support or romanticize toxic love in real life.
This is fiction. These are characters. The rules of reality do not apply here.
Proceed with that in mind.
This story is dark, intense, emotionally twisted, and very not safe for brunch with grandma.
It has mature themes, explicit sex scenes, a LOT of inner turmoil, questionable decisions, poetic rage, and characters who make you want to scream into a pillow and then hug them anyway.
So buckle up.
This isn't your comfort read, this is your guilty pleasure, your slow descent into chaos, your favorite ink-stained sin *wink wink*.
See you on the page.
With love and maybe a fire extinguisher,
โ Yara, mother of the emotionally unstable characters
