Chapter 1: The Heartbeat of Labor

"The Heartbeat of Labor"

Beneath the rising sun’s first glow,

They wake, they rise, they start to go,

Hands calloused, spirits strong,

In every step, they carry on.

The hum of engines, the tap of keys,

The gentle sway of bending trees,

In every task, a silent prayer,

A testament of strength and care.

They build the roads, they tend the fields,

In every effort, hope reveals—

A future shaped by sweat and grace,

A legacy time cannot erase.

For every worker’s tireless hand,

Lays the foundation of this land,

Today we pause, we thank, we see—

The heartbeat of labor, endlessly free.

Natasha Evermoor: This is really intriguing and emotionally intense. I like the way Joshua can truly change, or if Fleur is slowly getting pulled into something dangerous without realizing it. By the way, I love your book cover!
