("Ilzam-e-Ishq")
"Love is never a crime... but when you're accused of it, even truth demands justification."

Chapter One
The paths were the same, the weather unchanged, yet today a storm raged within her heart. Imaan stood silently at the college gate, her eyes brimming with tears, but her face still bore the same strength she had worn for years. Inside, everything had shattered, yet she stood holding herself together—collecting her broken breaths, silencing her trembling heartbeat.
Salar, her classmate—her companion in thought—stood just a few steps away. Their eyes met several times, and each time they held the same unspoken question:
"Are we really guilty?"
But that question never found its way to their lips.
The accusation had been made.
The entire class, the professors, even the walls now looked at Imaan and Salar with judgmental eyes. Their silent closeness—once merely a harmony of words—had become a crime in the court of society. No one had seen or heard anything, just rumors had been spread… and everyone believed them.
At home, the atmosphere was even heavier than her inner silence.
Her mother, a gentle, quiet woman, had accepted her daughter’s truth in her heart but couldn't voice it aloud.
Her father… a man who had never truly looked into his daughter's eyes, was now hell-bent on suffocating her under the name of honor.
And her aunt—Phupho—she was the spark that had ignited this fire. Her tongue, venomous and cruel, lashed out at Imaan’s character with every word.
Imaan remained silent.
Perhaps now, even words had betrayed her.
Azaad…
He was like a shadow amidst it all. He heard Imaan through her silence, spoke through her broken glances. He had never confessed his love—because he knew that love isn’t just about saying it aloud; sometimes, it’s about silent sacrifice. He was the closest to Imaan… yet the farthest too.
One day, Azaad said:
“Imaan, love isn’t always about walking together... sometimes, it’s about praying from afar.”
And from Imaan’s eye, a single tear quietly fell onto his hand.
