Prologue
Alexandra
I get into Lucas’s car. I know I’m doomed, I’m in deep trouble. I regret my actions—why did he have to pick me up today? He starts the car without saying a word to me. He’s going to tell my dad, I’m sure of it. My dad will either kill me or send me to reform school if I’m lucky. My stepmother will be so disappointed in me. Selfishly, I’m not even thinking about what will happen to my teacher. It’s all my fault—I dragged him into this mess just to compete with my step-brother, who currently has me at his mercy.
- “Lucas, please, you don’t have to tell on me, I’m begging you.”
- “Shut the hell up, Alexandra,” he says coldly, sending shivers down my spine.
I’m done for—he hates me and will never spare me. I wipe my tears, knowing it’s useless to cry. I got myself into this mess. I deeply regret not having a better relationship with him right now. Maybe if we had been on good terms since our parents got married, he might have had pity on me.
We arrive home, and thankfully our parents aren’t back yet. I have a few minutes to prepare my defense, even though I know it’s a lost cause. I follow Lucas to his room, hoping to plead with him to let me off the hook.
- “Please, Lucas, I’ll owe you one. Just tell me what you want, and I’ll do it.”
- “I don’t want anything from you, except for you to get the hell out of my damn room. Can you do that?”
- “Are you going to tell on me?” I ask him.
- “I’m still thinking about it. Tell me, do you think you deserve me telling your dad?” he asks, flashing a wide smile.
- “It was a mistake, I promise you—it won’t happen again. Everyone makes mistakes; you know that better than I do.”
- “How long did it go on? How long were you that bastard’s whore?” he asks angrily.
I don’t answer.
- “Have it your way, doll. I just need to figure out the best way to tell your dad. How about, ‘I caught Lexy giving her teacher a blowjob’?” he asks with a broad smile. “No, maybe I should add the part where you had your top off, and your lover was licking you too. What do you think? That’s better, isn’t it?”
Tears stream down my face.
- “If you ever tell him, I’ll tell him you slept with me when I was drunk,” I threaten, regretting it immediately.
He bursts out laughing, walks over to his bedroom door, locks it, and comes back toward me, whispering:
- “It’s not my fault you’re a slut who spreads her legs for the first guy after a bottle you weren’t even legally allowed to drink. Do you really think your dad would believe you? Believe I touched you, sweetheart?” he asks, nibbling my ear.
- “You got me drunk, Lucas, and you know it. You took advantage of me—you took my virginity,” I say, confronting him for the first time since the incident three months ago.
I know he was drunk too, but it’s the only thing I can use against him, hoping he’ll fear me telling our parents.
- “You don’t have any proof, Lexy. It would be your word against mine,” he says, playing with my hair. “Anyway, you know what? I might just forgive you.”
Hope rises in me until he continues:
- “Strip,” he says without emotion.
- “Please, Lucas, you’re better than this,” I reason with him.
- “You’ve got one minute to decide. Either you do what I say, or you face the consequences of your actions.”
I sob, but it doesn’t faze him to see me like this. It’s as if he takes pleasure in seeing me so vulnerable. I hesitate to do what he asks, but I finally comply. Either way, it’s not the first time today I’ve given myself to someone in exchange for something. Still, it hurts more that it’s him asking this of me—him, my step-brother. Even though we’ve already slept together, we were drunk. This time, there’s no excuse.
- “On your knees,” he orders.
I obey. He unbuttons his jeans and pulls out his penis. I try to look away, uncomfortable seeing him naked, but he holds my head in place. I try to hold back my tears and do as he demands. He grips my hair, controlling the rhythm. His movements are so deep I can barely breathe. He pulls my hair and throws me onto his bed.
- “On all fours,” he commands.
I do as he says. He enters me without any preparation. I arch my back, but he holds me firmly, giving me even rougher treatment than before. I pray for it to end quickly, but being as cruel as he is, he starts touching my clitoris.
- “Stop, Lucas,” I beg him.
- “You’re enjoying it, though,” he taunts.
- “Please,” I sob.
He ignores me, continuing his torment until I climax. Then he pulls out, flips me over, and ejaculates on my stomach. He spreads his semen with a wide smile, and all I want is to disappear.
- “You’re pretty boring for a whore, but with practice, you’ll be perfect,” he says.
I want to throw something at him, but I hold back. After all, it’s over, and it’s the last time he’ll have me in his bed.
- “From now on, you’ll be my slut, Lexy,” he says, laughing.
Before I can tell him to go to hell, he adds:
- “Of course, unless you want the photos I took with your teacher and this video to end up with your dad,” he says, pointing at his phone on his desk.
He recorded a damn video. I curl up into a ball and burst into tears.
This was the beginning of my nightmare, completely at the control of my step-brother.
