Grrrrr…
The kite soared in the air, and I did not want to ever leave the park but instead wanted to stay there and enjoy myself forever.
Suddenly, though, a tank rolled up to the park, and a man got out of the tank and said, “Why are you the only one here, dude? We heard that there was a big criminal operation happening here…”
I wanted to tell the military guy to leave and stop occupying my city, but I instead said, “You know, the whole reason why we usually have regular police do law enforcement is because it hurts the relationship between the military and the common folk for military to be patrolling the city when they’re supposed to just be about defending the nation.”
“I’m well aware of that,” the man said while shaking his head, “but I also have orders from the commander and chief, and both congress and the courts haven’t told him to knock it off yet, and so here we are.”
“True.” I said, “Hopefully congress and the courts will put an end to this madness pretty soon…” and then the man said, “Hopefully, indeed… Though I do have orders to hang around this park for a while, and so I have to stay here… Don’t worry, though. I’ll just sort of keep my eyes open for threats while you fly your kite, and so just pretend that I’m not here.”
“Sounds like a plan.” I said; and I continued flying my kite and tried to pretend that the military wasn’t occupying the park that I was in.
Eventually, it got late and I had to head home, and as I left I saw that the military dude was still at the park with the tank for some reason.
I felt kind of bad for him, but I also felt bad for my city that we were being militarily occupied.
Stupid tyrannical leaders and their stupid tyrannical orders…
I mean, even the military dude agreed that the military occupying my city was a bad idea!
Grrrrr…
I soon arrived home, and there was a note on my door.
I read the note, and it said, “I have information that can bring down the entire government, and you can help me get it out to the public if you want to. Just leave a blank piece of paper where this note currently is if you want for me to give you more details…”
“Yikes!” I thought, “This is crazy!
This military occupation of my city is to blame for this!
The temperature just keeps on raising, dammit!
It’s almost as if the commander and chief wants a revolution to happen!” and I quickly took the note inside of my abode and tried to figure out what to do…
I mean, whoever wrote this note could be a scary person…
And this potentially scary person knew where I lived…
And so this didn’t feel like a safe place to live anymore…
Not that my nation felt safe at the moment with the military occupation and all…
And so I quickly packed up some things and I headed off to the airport to take the first flight that I could away from my nation.
I mean, maybe I would return someday, but at the moment it seemed very clear that this nation was getting too dangerous for me and I needed to travel to another place if I wanted to be safer and more free than I currently was…
